Jokes aside, things are not exactly like how you have described . We have the most fun night life here in Delhi (and if you don't believe me you can google the "best night life in india" or maybe the pics of India gate at 1am😂)

The way you are describing Delhi up rajasthan and Bihar is bizarre. Your description is as extreme as saying "All Asians and black people are killed by white people as soon as they enter USA"

Statistically speaking,yes..the probability of crime happening to you is more in Delhi compared to any South Indian state but then why do we always ignore the fact that Delhi up Bihar etc are more densely populated. If 15 women are raped daily then there are 15 thousand women who travel safely too. It's not like everytime i step my foot out of the house two men on bike start following me😂😂😂

Overall my point is that don't generalise things like this..you are describing Delhi like Afghanistan tbh 😕

And in case you are offended, come throw tomatoes and eggs at me coz i being a Delhi girl know self defence 😆

OK i apologise if people got offended that i talked of UP/Bihar/Delhi as being unsafe after 9pm for alone girls. But you need not take thing personal and threaten violence etc.You are talking emotionally because you are from delhi but i am talking of practical sitation. I know girls who travel alone in taxi 300kms at night to go from one city to another alone with driver be it some south city or mumbai.

In bangalore you can catch taxi at 10pm and go to chennai by 4am alone girl without fear and from pune to mumbai a girl can catch taxi at 4am and reach by 8am that too alone. Can a alone girl go from delhi to haryana alone from 9pm to 4am in taxi? I have many relatives in delhi and also lived there and no one will dare send their daughter or wife alone in taxi care 300kms at night. But in bangalore, chennai, mumbai, pune, ahmedabad a lone girl goes in taxi 300kms at night times.

Bangalore or Chennai has almost or more than 1 crore people like delhi and Mumbai has 2 crore(voters that is others real nos will be much more) so you cannot say delhi is crowded so more crimes. If you ask visitor from US/UK which city you feel unsafe they first say delhi not agra or bangalore or mumbai etc. Now i think bangalore is a bit big now as they added 1000s of bangalore rural villages into bangalore. But 10-12 years back bangalore was small city. But still it had 80 lakh population almost like delhi only. So saying delhi is densely populated is not right. Many south and west city like mumbai, ahmedabad, chennai, hyderabad, bangalore etc have 80 lakh people from 20 years and now crossed 1 crore. Population has nothing to do with crimes actually. Its more how law is implemented etc that matters how much fear can law enforcers put in criminal minds and attitude of people towards women that can prevent crimes.

Your parents may allow you go to out at 1am to eat alone. But girls of relations and friends born and brought up in delhi are not allowed to go out after 7pm only to most areas alone. Some brother or uncle or father or hubby will go alone or will pick them up after college or work or 3-4 girls go together. If you have own vehicle car and bike thats different issue. Most auto refuse to come here there after 8pm only and if its alone girl they ask double. Than they will drop 300 feet from house saying i will not come into area or its dark etc and run off. As someone whose lived in delhi whose relatives/friends lived in delhi i can say delhi is not that safe as a bangalore or mumbai or pune. Agra is better than delhi i mean safer. I have lived in delhi so know how auto taxi behave after 8pm or 9pm etc especially if alone girl want ride. Mumbai is best for auto taxi they rarely ask extra and drop door step even at 10pm-11pm. Bangalore auto drivers give competition to delhi auto taxi guys by charging 3 times after 8pm only.

Dear we get it that you meant to say some cities are more safer than others ...Though I don't agree with your claims about Bangalore , but let's just agree to disagree here ....Main thing is , is the discussion even relevant in this forum which is basically for a fictional show based on fictional characters and scenarios ?

Then why drag this topic unnecesarily ......

First i am girl

I totally agree that today if anyone land up in Bangalore or Hyderabad they should be very careful than 10 years back

Because of recent incidents i heard in TV from those city

I was saying about travel because i felt anupama cannot get attacked in ahmedabad road mid by goons. Its much safer atleast in day times. Thats why this city safety topic started. So lets leave it at that.

How u doing Shriz ? Now u have me craving Chola Bhatura .... 😒

Bro 🤗

I just love how you never miss the chance to update me with the latest news about my old buddy pallu 👏

Once upon a time when our ancestors invented saari they would have never thought that it can be used for so many purposes in future (other than just wearing it 🤔 )

From wiping nose, tears to wiping Gunda Bhai log from the planet, pallu is doing an incredible job in making earth a better place for humans👏

I guess some of those cheap misogynist politicians were right when they said "western clothes are responsible for sexual assault "

All they meant was that western clothes don't have holy pallu attached with it so they can't be used for self defence and i being an idiot misunderstood their words 😭 (sorry politician uncle🥺)

Anyway carrying red pepper spray in my bag for self defence is too old school, boring and easy method...now i will be carrying coins😎 (Modern problems require modern solutions😳)

I'm quite doubtful about that method of using Devi maa and Laxmi maa bhashan to do "hriday parivartan" of Gunda Bhai coz what if he is an atheist and gets more angry listening my bhashan ???!!! 🤔 (anyway let's hope that the Gundas i meet are pujari and sanskaari kinda ☺️)

And yeah if you are craving chole bhature,go have it but make sure to return home before 7pm if you live in North India coz you can be attacked by aliens, goons, zombies or anything after that time 👀(yeah if you live anywhere else it's not a problem coz rest of the world is safe )

P.s- gauri ❤️

You always make me write paragraphs on pallu 😭😭😭

Miss you bro and also the old forum ka raunak 🌝😂

Smitha leaving special i miss you msg for you here 😙

Kosha, it is nice to see you back and read your analysis about this fictional series.

Nostalgia does that to us, we miss what is long gone. The dynamics of the forum keeps changing and rightly so. However, we should appreciate the present times as well. This forum has witnessed several fine posters who can hold amicable discussion. https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/anupamaa/5311184/rape-in-a-patriarchal-society

The above thread is a just one recent example of normal, civil discussion, but we have all noticed the same pattern across different topics by these posters in various threads as well.

Kudos to all these members –Rudhita, lalaland, motherhood, gauri, itsmeazra, prernashiv, bhodianveshika and many more (my memory fails to quote them here). 👏 These members & their posts are thought provoking and great examples of civil discussion.

This forum continues to be a place to vent out frustration, bicker and banter, the ties that bind us together.

Shriz , u ok bro ? So much outpouring of love and Delhi’s pollution levels have made me quite breathless 😆

I’m ur badnaam Delhi sister na , that’s why I manage to bring out all your Pallu fantasies so effortlessly ❤️ ( Btw I didn’t mention Pallu anywhere in my post 😃 )

I’ll take u out on a chola Bhature date at 1 am once I figure out how to get around these damn dogs , I played a recorded version of AnuMaa’s bhashan but they were not impressed 😕 They were like iss par Woof Woof sirf Anuj karta hai , we plan to lead more dignified lives 🤡
