First off all rape of sexual abuse in companies or work place is not taken seriously in entire asia

Its blamed on victim only saying she went out at night she wore modern dress she arguesd with rapsit she dared cross limits set to woman by society etc

Further when vanraj targeted Malvika instead of saving her being with her he choose anupama over Malvika and walked off like a martyr leaving her with demon Vanraj

And today anuj kapdiyas all acts look so shallow because a sister is more closer to an human than a stranger girl. When you did not bother or even bothering now after wedding about Malvika your crocodile tears for dimple does not melt viewers hearts.

They (Anupamaa's monologues) will constantly say that she isn't "impure" just cause she is a victim of an horrendous act but they will show just the opposite. Her struggles as a victim will be over looked by the greatness of Anu-Anuj and Samar. Baa will taunt her (those two neighbors aunties will join) and Sanar will support her and later on Baa will apologize (may also take a stand for her) and all will be forgiven.

Like what they did with Anupamaa... like that women has been mentally tortured for 25-36 years... yet Baa Baa Baa more than her own mother (who once told her to stay in the marriage regardless but she has evolved, excepted her mistake and changed... not Baa Baa Black Sheep). Like they have us belive that taunts were love. They preach move on and yet have her running back to that toxic house every second.

No anuj saw her raped and badly beaten the day he went to meet her

It was told by anuj only that i cannot say such kind of torture was done on Malvika

Its understood her husband raped her as per his will and wish

Love is different from rape by husband

Problem is in society husband has right to rape wife and society keeps quiet if wife is beaten or raped by husband as internal affair

But say west wife can put case on hubby for hitting her or raping her and police and court takes it seriously - in india putting fir is tough as no one will accept hubby can rape a wife too

In asia there is no real concept of rape by husband society do not accept that hubby can rape wife

So, yeah what Vanraj did was emotional abuse , blackmailing and fraud , she could have divorced Vanraj on these grounds .....but sorry no "Rape" as she was never FORCED......

Sorry but that's incorrect. If a man has sex with a woman by promising to marry her but had no intention to keep that promise, it constitutes rape. It's only if he had the intention to keep the promise but later circumstances change and he doesn't want to marry her or they can't get married, he can't be held liable.

This is on the basis of Section 90 of the Indian Penal Code -

90. Consent known to be given under fear or misconception:

A consent is not such a consent as it intended by any section of this Code, if the consent is given by a person under fear of injury, or under a misconception of fact, and if the person doing the act knows, or has reason to believe, that the consent was given in consequence of such fear or misconception; or Consent of insane person.: if the consent is given by a person who, from unsoundness of mind, or intoxication, is unable to understand the nature and consequence of that to which he gives his consent; or Consent of child.: unless the contrary appears from the context, if the consent is given by a person who is under twelve years of age.

So the same could be applied in the case of Vanraj and Anupama as well, since it was a misconception of fact by Anupama at the time and Vanraj was aware of the same. It does constitute marital rape.

In case of the law you always have to read several provisions together. Just the definition doesn't give a full picture of the circumstances, exceptions, meaning of every term (such as consent) etc. So by law, Vanraj did rape Anupama, only problem is it would be very difficult to prove in court.
