Just an excuse..Two big films have released on consecutive weekends and both have well done in the past..Drishyam 2 is not as big as KGF2 (for Jersey) or TKF(Bachchan Pandey)..It is doing good but those two films had crazy number on weekdays while D2 is just Abt touching 10 crore on weekdays!

The fact is Bhediya does not excite .hence low buzz..

I think it affecting it, like Ajay isnt the one who besides has forefront box office, what he is that his films collects in steady pace to be super hits. Like Drishyam is barely dropping in the box office and been steady, the same thing happened to Tanhaji which became a blockbuster. It didn't open up with 30 crore instead it was steady pace and ended up making almost 300 crore domestically.

And tbh, Bhediya is from Maddock, who have a good eye for scripts, it does look promising, compared to stuff that came out in theaters these days from BW (Phonebooth, Jug Jug Jiyo etc), so fingers crossed.

Drishyam was a very good suspense thriller. It had good acting. Great storytelling. Amazing writing. I expect the sequel to be anything like the prequel. It is no surprise the film is doing great. Bhediya trailer did not look as promising.l

Disagree. Ajay once he gets a hit with good WOM, tends to get a consistent increase in numbers at the BO, since a lot of people will now naturally see this movie if they want to see a Bollywood movie.

Bhediya had an item song that went pretty viral (for Shraddha) and...that's kind of it. Salman Khan turned into a wolf for promo. The poster stills look kind of interesting but also childish, but the Stree universe is trying to be an appeal for younger-movie goers to go watch Bhediya.

Problem is, younger-movie-goers are unpredictable and that's why theatres are more likely to push Drishyam 2.
