Aamir Khan takes a break from acting

He will produce Champions but he won’t be acting in it. Watch the video. It’s a short one minute video and he talks about just wanting time with his kids and his mom, which is completely understandable. But I think the failure of LSC really affected him and made him reevaluate a lot of things, emotionally, practically, and realistically in every way.

I hope he comes back to acting soon. He is easily one of the best actors in Bollywood and the industry is definitely better off having his contributions.

He should’ve done Mogul (Gulshan Kumar Biopic)

You can still make an ordinary scrip/film into big blockbuster.

Koi isey Dil Chahta hai ka woh scene hi dikha do where he pushes Sameer to go & confront priya.

"Kya kar raha hai, mard ban, be a man"...... don't take break or else you won't be able to do stunts of any kind.

i admire him for this, it is not just the debacle but revaluating what roles he should do and what will suit him, also spending time with family is defintely worth a break

he has reinvented himself before and i am sure he will do it again, in the roles he takes on his next innings and production and direction

better than others like akshay who just dont seem to get when the tide has turned and make fools of themselves

This is the problem with workaholics. They get extremely focused on one thing and ignore the rest.

Spending time with family need not be something you need to do 24x7 for two years. You can rather try to have a healthy balance between work and life.

Looks like Aamir is really guilty about not having given time to his family and this break is his way of making up for it. He was talking about this before LSC released too so I don’t think its failure has anything to do with it.
If I remember correctly, he took a 3-4 year break after Lagaan as well.
But it’s clear his career as a young leading hero is over. He’ll be 60 by the time he returns and he can’t be doing roles like that anymore. Salmon and SRK would also meet the same fate in 2-3 years time.

Part of that is having to travel various places cause lagaan made it to oscars or other film festivals. He also went thru his 1st divorce. An his following film Mangal Pandey took a long time to make

😔😔 everybody was just hating on LSC without even watching it..and those who did said Aamir was the worst thing about it..sure he wasn’t that good in young Laal days..but the latter half of the movie..Aamir was wonderful! Heartbreaking scene when Rupa dies..and his monologue missing her damn I just cried and cried..hope those who call him overrated yada yada are in peace now..he ain’t coming with a movie for a couple of years damn it 😔
