I didn't know Aamir's mom recently had a heart attack. I'm sorry to hear that.

Doesn't mean the rest of what was said isn't true.

LSC was a massive flop, but he is not a pauper. He will remain who he is for as long as Bollywood exists. The people who lost are the writer and director, mostly.

Aamir's time as a conventional hero is over. But he can switch to playing character roles.

His not spending time with his kids is his own fault.

His taking a break at this point from acting but not anything else seems very much a business decision. *Spending time with family* excuse is right up there with *We're just good friends.*

I don't care about celebs' personal lives, so break or not, it doesn't matter to me. Anyways with Aamir, long breaks are expected, and also, there is an extraordinary amount of negativity around him right now.

But I didn't want him to do that Spanish movie remake. It will be good, no doubt, but sure to be another disaster (with him in the lead). And a good movie's failure will hurt him more than a biggie's.

Personally, I am not disappointed with any Aamir movie (barring TOH). But movies like TOH are what makes one a star and, in the case of Aamir, help him take up subjects like Lagaan, RDB etc. As he has said many times in the past, a big commercial hit/blockbuster is what gives him the cushion to do a TZP, Secret Superstar or Delhi Belly etc. It is not the other way around.

The problem is biggies have become an Achilles Heel for Aamir. He hasn't done a 'right' 'original' commercial blockbuster fare in ages. And no, 3 Idiots don't count.

I am thrilled to hear that Aamir is planning to comeback with a biggie. I wish he delivers that 'classic' biggie which is missing from him upon his return. Hope that he takes lessons from 70's masala and ignores '60s kitsch which he seems to like in this space.

Wish the other Khans took a permanent break instead

eh aamir has become pretentious since lagaan, so i highly doubt he will touch fun films since he probably thinks they are beneath him now.
