No. He's investing to earn more out of it. Both fame n money. He is a brand and he's investing that brand and he's free to invest that in whoever he feels are 1. Profitable for his brand 2. Easy to work with according to him. He owes no explanation to anybody for doing the same.

I'm no SRK fan but I'd rather watch KJo repeat SRK umpteen times in his movies than Alia. SRK has the fame, craze and the numbers to boast of, the only reason a parasite like KJo even latched onto Shah in the first place. It's more of a testament to KJo 's incapability as a director than SRK as an actor. Take out these famous stars from his movies and nobody would watch Karan's melodramatic crapfests.

I am actually happy that I’ll get to watch Ranveer and Alia in an out and out commercial movie..I really did not enjoy Gully Boy because Zoya was trying too hard to break her image of a fancy lifestyle depicting director ..and I would rather watch colourful fun movies than depressing dukhiyara stuff like ADHM

He chooses what according to him is best. Shahrukh-Kajol then and Ranveer-Alia now! Karan himself is out there calling them Shahrukh-Kajol of this generation so clearly he believes that and that's why the casting.

His shop. His money. So His choice. Don't like it don't buy it simple. Also Ranveer and Alia have just done one movie together so it's actually a fresh pairing and Karan would definitely love to encash on it.

alia's look is very much like deepika in piku and rani (lots of movies) in pics , i think she is playing intellectual bong type role and ranveer will be some punjabi chichora type

kjo version of piku and akhtar delhi intellectual lutyens + chandni chowk mix masala (my prediction)😆
