I'm extremely sorry for the delay.

Part 6:

Days passed by, Geet would go to the temple and as always Jessie would be there troubling her and in hospital Romeo. She neither had any business with either of them, all she was concerned was the for work. Once Geet heard Shilpa conversing with Romeo demanding money for finally bringing Geet and him face to face. Later Geet demanded an explaination for her acts!

"Mai tumhe mera subse aacha dost samjiti lakin tum to meri dushman nikli. I didn't interfere in what ever business you had. But u are taking money from him to link us up. What are you upto?? Don't you know I'm not interested in such stuff?"

"From past three years he is behind you, did you even know he exists?No right! Agar mujhe tum ko link karna he ta, to vo theen sal pehle he ke hoti. It's because you dashed with him the other day and came to know all these. Don't blame me, I never came to you asking to get linked up with him."

Geet felt that Shilpa was right, she never approached her with these kind of things.The conversation ended their and they never argued on that.

Geet would get frustrated with both Jessie and Romeo troubling her. But the strange thing was that she used to only see Jessie here and there, who would vanish the next second, which made her question herself if she was falling for him!!

One such evening, Geet was home. After finishing her work she switched on the TV to watch some movies, only to see a confession scene going on. She changed the channel

"ILU Shalani " change

"ILU Sharath" change

"IL. "change

She went on changing, the channel would either be in advertisement or the same ILU.

"Everywhere ILU ha? "

Frustrated she switches off the TV and leaves for her room. On the way she passes by the kitchen only to hear

"Ranoo"

"Ha?" she turns back to face Mohinder thinking he needs something

"I love you Rano"

Geet stops and looks into the kitchen, to see her father with a rose facing her mother's back who was busy arranging the washed dishes.

Geet roles eyes and hits her palm to her forehead "Karma, yaha be l love you!".

"25sal hogai hai aaj keliye, jab mai tumhai I love you bola aur tum brickse mera sir toda tha."

"Galati kardiya maine" hits her forehead and continues the work she was doing

"Ha!? "

"Brickse nahi marna ta, seeda golise he marna ta."

Geet turns back cools down herself, again faces her parents who were in their own world

"Hello!!" she announces her presence there.

Both of her parents are startled, they turn around and make some distance which causes some vessels around them to fall, they look at Geet who is at the door.

"Aree, aap gabra kyu rahiho. Mai to bus good night kehne keliye aaye te. And this is not the first time that I have caught u both like this. So please continue. Good night." she leaves

"Such a lovely daughter! We must have done many good deads to have a daughter like her." Mohinder

Geet pops back "Ha! Bilkul."

That night she dreams of Jessie saying that he had waited a lot but now he had lost his patience, he grabs Geet and was about to kiss her, Geet wakes up screaming "NOOOoo"

"If he does what he did in my dream tomorrow, I will teach him a lesson. "

Geet goes to sleep thinking that what all he had said happened with her. She mentally prepares herself to give him left and right.

The next morning, she goes to the temple and after finishing her work she starts to leave. She sees Jessie sitting on the stones below the tree. His behavior was wierd, the constant talking person was unusually quiet. Geet passes him, when he didn't talk she turns back questions sarcastically "The chatterbox is unusually quiet today. Kyu?"

"Leave all this Geet, it was my mistake. I must have not behaved like this with you. I'm sorry " Jessie gets up

"I'm really sorry, mai aur aap kabhi ek nahi ho sakti. I will not disturb you anymore."

The low sad voice and his pain while saying this was clearly written on his face and Geet was caught in turmoil, things didn't happen the way she thought would happen.

"I had came to say this only but I couldn't so I just sat. Agar mujhse koi galati hui hai to please mujhe maaf kar dejiye. I will go. Bye."

He moves two steps, only to be stopped by Geet

"Hey, how can you say like this and go. Mujhe be to soochana chaye na.!"

"As of what?"

"Kya hai aapke problem ha? Har jaga aap he dikh teho, sapne mai be aaye. The way you talk I feel like hitting you, but I'm not able to. Please mujhe be soochana chaye na? "

"Nahi, don't think anything. Be how you were before. I will not come again, bye."

He again moves two steps forward

"Jessie, stop. I will just grab a stone and break your head into pieces...... O God, what am I doing"

Seeing Geet stumbling and stammering with words, Jessie has a small smile on his face as if the movement he was waiting had came

"I love you too"

Hearing Geet say that, his smile widens.

Geet seeing him smiling shies away looks down. She waits for his next action as she had seen the movies, but when nothing came from his side she musters up her courage and takes two steps towards him, but he retreated back. Confused she shrugs of the thought and again proceeds forwards to hug him but he again retreats back shaking his head in no. To Geet's confused expression he answers

"No. Hugging, kissing, holding hands only are not love. Hum dono distance mai he pyar karange. OK? "

Geet obliged

"Geet, I too love you bol diya hai, aab mai aap ko kabhi nahi chodungi, kise ke liye be." Geet fears because of the possessive tone he used but thinks it as normal. Geet's this abrupt decision was leading her to the future of darkness.

So they start to meet each other daily in the morning at the same place. That was for just for a few minutes and after that Geet would leave for her work. The talk they talked was just about who all are there in each others family. Geet had felt he was hiding something from her, she also was scared that he would leave after he gets bored of her but she would always shrug off her thoughts.

One evening, when Geet was busy searching for her book in her study,

"GEEET" came an anger filled voice of her father, startled she asks as to what happened

"I hadn't expected you to be insulting me like this."

"Papa? Kya huva?"

"The person whom you are loving, has came to the house only"

Geet's self thought "Jessie! Why did he come here?"

"If I don't get you married to him then he will take you along with him it'seems. Isn't this much insult enough for us,ha?" He leaves and Geet follows him panicking and calling out to him.

"Pappa, mera bath to suniye. Pappa."

She reaches behind him to the hall only to see Romeo seated there, the panic and fear which was there vanished and anger started raising.

"Pappa he is an idiot. Mai unse payar vayar nahi kar rahihu. How could you think my taste would be this bad?"

Romeo and Geet argue for some time and atlast Geet orders him to go out, when he didn't Mohinder threatens to call the police and Romeo leaves.

Geet makes a cry baby face

"Kya pappa, would I go and love someone like him? Mujhe daat rahi ho uski bath mai akar.?"

"Nahi nahi, tum bura math mano. For you to leave happily, I have searched a very good groom for you. Aur insab ke beech tum ja kar isko payar kar diya sunkar mai gabra gaye ti."

"Papa!" Geet says that in disbelief.

"Savitri Deviji ke pote hai Maan Singh Khurana. Thursday aaraha hai tumhai dekhne keliye. So that day please take a leave from the hospital OK. "

"Pappa etni jaldhi... "

"Geet dekha na, what happened few minutes back. We don't want all these things happening to you." Rano.

"And why are you still going to the temple after the vrat is completed?"

"Aa, vo. Just like that aadat hogai hai."

"Koye bath nahi beta" they both smile and leave not before reminding her to take an off the coming Thursday. Geet decides to talk about this to Jessie the next day.

"Kaha gaye thi? Aaj aap late ho! "

"Sorry late hogai".

" Kya sorry, ha? U don't even carry a cell phone. Agar koi zoori bath karni hai to aapko yaha milne tak intazar karna hoga".

"Bath kay hai? Tum tension mai lagriho? "

"Mujhe lagatha hai ke meri ghar mai pappa mama ko humari bhare mai kuch patha chalgaya hai."

" Kya?? Y do you think so?"

"That's because they have selected a boy for me! I don't think we must wait more, we will confide our love matter in our respective home's."

" That's not possible! Mujhe abhi kaam doondna hai, aur meri pehli salary mai maa ke sath shopping karna hai. Ye sub hone tak hum ghar mai nahi batha sakthe. Please tum he ghar mai kuch kehke bath ko sambal lo."

"Are you out of ur mind? This is not the matter to joke, have some seriousness. Agle hafthe ladke vale mujhe dekhne arahi hai."

"Try to understand me. I can't back out of my dreams, before fulfilling them, I can't."

"Being a woman I'm only ready to take the initiative, what's wrong with u? Oh! Kahi tum mujhe hath deneki planing kar rahi ho??"

"To tum meri bare mai aisa soch rahi ho? . Tume jo soch na hai sochlo. Magar yadh rakna Tum meri Ho, U belong to me"

He leaves annoyed by her questions, not thinking from her POV.

"Kya mei kuch zyada bolgaya? But what to do even I'm not at fault. I still feel like he will leave me." "Ab Kya karu? "

She remembers him showing his house from far and telling to introduce her to his mother after his dreams are fulfilled. She decides to visit his house the following day...

The next day...

She rings the doorbell checks herself and waits for the door to be opened.

An elderly lady in her mid fiffties opens the door.

"Ji? Kuch chaye kay beta?".

"Ji auntyji, payas lagithe! Ek glass pani..."

The lady politely "Andar avo, mei latha hoon."

"Ji, thank you." The lady opens the door wide and leaves to fetch water.

She looks around the hall, every wall has a photo of Jessie from when he was small, him with trophies and along with his mother(the lady).

There was one big portrait of his which was painted. She looks at the photo and starts talking to it...

" Hmm, what shall I introduce myself as, to ur mother? As Dr. Geet Handa or as ur would be daughter-in-law?"

His mother comes back with a glass of water while she was talking and asks with whom was she talking and handes over the glass of water to her.

Geet fumbles and says "Kuch nahi aunty, bas inn photos ko dekh raha tha. Aachi photos hai!!" and takes the glass and takes a sip.

"Meri beta ka hai ye photos". Geet smiles and mumbles "yes, I know him. Such a short tempered and talkative person he is".

"Sade ek sal hogai(1 and a half years)!" Geet turns her attention back to his mother who was talking while looking at the portrait. Geet was confused for she sensed the atmosphere turned heavy suddenly.

"Unke mare huve" silence prevails

"BLOOD CANCER" Jessie's mother finishes not knowing the impact it had on the person listening to it.

That came as a final blow to Geet. What she had came for and what it turned out to be.

The glass in Geet's hand falls on the floor and breaks into peaces.

This update was fast paced for I didn't want to drag it with Jessie in the center point and I hope to have made some sense of why Romeo's character was introduced.

This story is not a straight forward one, there are twists and turns till the climax, so I request u all to please have patience.

Wow.... nice progress. Ohhh.. humans to fight with ghost. It is going to be tough. So he trapped Geet and made her confess, so he get a leeway for his obsession. I have started missing Maan though. We defo need a strong Geet and fierce Maan to fight this obsessive ghost.

Jesse has started haunting her. He is controlling her environment.

She actually started believing she might love him? Or he is manipulating her thoughts?
