That's exactly what I can't grasp.. Why is it always that a drama starts off as interesting and refreshing but reaches a point where the viewers consider giving up on it... I don't think that the problem here is the initial plot but rather the plot's nonexistent development... It takes a lot of talent to destroy a good story yet Habs writes managed to do that...... 🤬 None of the characters seems consistent anymore... Basit now being head over heels with Ayesha but not realizing how much Soha's presence hurts her though he had ousted her out of his the house due to her friendship with Fahad, Soha transforming from a bold, independent woman who had her priorities and needs set to a clingy bitch trying to come in between the couple, Zoya being Qudsia's real daughter after all (she doesn't deserve Amir anyway), Fahad in the promo providing insight to Soha about Basit’s and Ayesha's relationship as though he hasn't learn anything from his past mistakes, Bano (if she really makes up with Talal) will end up being portrayed as a damsel in distress. Maybe the most consistent characters are Qudsia and Talal... I mean she's always been manipulative and greedy (some things never change). As for Talal...once an asshole always an asshole 🤬🤬🤬 kudos to the writers for destroying so much potential and to the director for putting personal grudges before his drama's success....... God this was longer than I thought 🤣
Characterisation we can still find explanations for...but the plot development is really what is pissing me off! I am annoyed with the choices they have made in terms of in which direction they want to take the story on every single front. Bano's track, they ruined. Zoya-Amir has become some nightmarish Indian tv soap story. And with the introduction of this wannabe Cruella De Vil version of Soha, I am honestly fed up. There was too little of Ayet in the last episode to put balm on my bleeding soul. I put so much love as a fan into this show and now I feel hurt at so many levels. Firstly, there is the whole messiness in terms of the cast and crew turning on each other so publicly. I mean when only days ago you claimed to have had so much fun and camaraderie on set and then now you turn around and tell us that it was a nightmare, whatever the truth might be, you all have been revealed to be hypocrites. Secondly, the story which had such a strain of pathos mixed with the sheer beauty of angsty emotions has now become like any other daily soap. I am surprised Ushna or Feroze even agreed to act in this drama now because they generally have better selection in terms of scripts. Feroze has worked with Badar Mehmood and Mehreen Jabbar in the past. Ushna has also worked with Badar Mehmood and the likes of Ali Raza Usama. Those projects were all very fine. I cannot comprehend what made them agree to something so cliched.
I guess I should say that the depth added through FK and Ushna's performances had made the early part of the story very gripping. Irsa Ghazal as Sadia had been a diamond. Sadia-Basit scenes are some of my favourite moments in this show, precisely because of the angst. But now that they have cut away Basit and Ayesha's inner world from the episodes, and added all this cliched negative tracks, I don't know how torturous the coming episodes will be. Cappa, please tell me I am wrong.
