But after JCPKH, Sab TV did not brought a single comedy show. Even TMKOC turned into social drama like MS and WKD. JCPKH it we see clearly was also drama along with horror and comedy. It's because of continuous comedy and it's makers we could not figure it out as drama and if sone other PH made that show it would have been another chudail daayan type of depressing show. MS may be comedy still now but it only keeps bringing social messages which kills the comedy. But still I see it as last proper comedy show. Sab Satrangi and Pushpa Impossible could have been made comedy but they turned out to be drama shows instead. Sab TV's business head claimed in March that it's no more a comedy channel. No wonder they brought Prashant Bhatt as programming head last year who earlier worked with Colors and Dangal. Now even Alibaba is flopping getting 0.6 at 8pm prime time which no one expected. Only WKD and PI getting food ratings due to their time slots. It's clear many viewers stopped watching this channel. Now even if bring comedy, it will flop as it would be hard to bring old viewers back.

ABAE I got to know that it's more of racism promoted there which is coated with comedy. From whatever clips I saw I too feel the same. The FL's saas hates her while her hethaani plots against her. On top of that, her husband don't even love her but see her as ticket of US. They put down foreigners by mocking their culture, language, rituals just to glorify Indians. So I don't it as actual comedy show. Maharaj Ki Jai Ho on the same channel found much better than this.

If not for Bhabhiji and Happu, the comedy era would have completely gone. These 2 shows are only run by channel as they are only saving the channel since till now otherwise the channel won't last even few months if they shut these 2 shows along with their repeat telecast. The third comedy was getting just 0.1 even at 9:30pm. May be because either people found that show boring or simply any new show flopping on the channel while Bhabhiji and Happu being watched as a habit like people still watch TMKOC after so many years.

Comedy needs to be back because the comedy lovers have nothing to watch apart from Bhabhiji and Happu which may also end after few months when their ratings hit 0.1.

Even supernatural shows get the highest trps like Naagin

But 1-2 comedy shows won't kill a channel. In fact, they turned the only comedy channel into drama channel. Naagin I doubt if the TRP is even true.

It has. Sab TV or even Sony/Colours/other channels comedy shows are not about clean humor anymore at all. It has become very dramatised and somewhat vulgar. Writing comedy that suits everyone used to be an art that seems to be locked up in the mid 2000s now. All we can do is accept that and move on to watching standup comedy on OTT if it suits us.

But sitcom needs to be back too. Not everyone can afford OTtT subscription. Even on OTT, they use censored words now and then.

Currently, a serial with a stalker marrying FL is a channel topper.

Talking about Star Bharat's Ajooni.

Hey Bhaggu! It is actually topping trp charts? WTAH 😲

So my guess is that sometimes people are so connected to the actors also that they are willing to follow them into any genre and continue to hype them.

I understand what you are saying, but just was providing an alternative medium available that most people have shifted to in recent times coz of the lack of diversity in the shows on iTV. I still watch Hum Paanch, Zabaan Sambhal Ke and Yes Boss sometimes and it has this sense of comedy which is not available in current times because the quality of writers and their perception has also changed. Post pandemic the outlook has clearly been only to gain high profits, nothing else seems to matter.

No I talked about Ajooni as mentioned above. WTHA ML is actually good par story sahi nahi hai like it's filled with negativities where only women are shown as bad persons.

Topping TRP charts nahi channel topper like baaki sabhi Star Bharat shows ko 0.1 ya 0.2 milta hai aur ise 0.3. The difference may look less but if we see as percentage then it's much higher than other Star Bharat shows.

Yeah, I understood that.

WTAH = What the actual hell

Yeah, it is pathetic when the most toxic shows are deemed as audience favs and given preferences in accordance to that then. Ghum, Udaariyaan and many more shows with absolute garbage MLs should have been kicked off the curb long back, but they continue to exist and are even hyped.

Kuch khaas farak nahi hai Ajooni gets 0.3 while others are getting 0.2 or 0.1😆 could be a lucky timeslot too

It looks less but percentage wise it's TRP is 50% or 100% more than other shows which is shocking. It's time slot is 8:30 which is one of the competitive slot.

See its first promo. More than the promo I am shocked with the comments which are mostly from women.

Why is it surprising? These kind of shows with anti heroes are always a hit
