It has always been a balance. In 2015 Padamavat did thrice the business as Peeku. Deepika got good reviews. Piku was also a box office success. Deepika got raving reviews. Deepika won the award for Peeku.

It is the best combination of good acting and popularity of the film.

I think it was MB and in that film priyanka was the show stealer. Even for Piku she didnt deserved it because kangana not much better than her but TWMR was a much bigger hit. I still dont get how kangana didnt win the popular one but only the critics award.
