Come on. It is not just about Hindus. There are people of all communities who troll stars. Like Khans are always trolled for celebrating Hindu festivals or visiting mandirs. Or labeled a bad example for their community by trolls.

Some Sikh actors also get trolled all time for stuff like cutting hair or trimming beard or nowadays bashed for celebrating festivals of other religions by some fanatical trolls. One Sikh model was trolled for endorsing a razor.

I am personally fed up of this shitty meddling by trolls, political parties or religious groups misusing access they get to everyone through social media.

Anyway abusing anyone or running propaganda against them or spreading lies like linking someone to ISI is not right. Nor is attributing false statements to anyone. For eg SRK NEVER said he will leave India if Modi becomes PM. That meme is fake. Aamir and SRK never said they will return their Padma awards if Modi becomes PM. That propaganda will be called out and needs to be acted against by stars too.

Anyway why generalise Bollywood when only few celebs endorse PETA or are vegans? That means Amitabh does right thing if he keeps quiet on everything for fear of offending others and despite being vegetarian he never does public service message on this at all?

Is it? Then why aren't they called out? Why does LeLi gang always blame Hindutva, Bhakts, IT cell n 2 Rs fans for all the online trolling?

Which films recently have commented on any party? Films generally give only hints. Like Kissa kursi ka, Aandhi, Khubsoorat, Mere Apne indirectly hinted at Emergency, INC, Indira but did not take names.

God, I hope not.

I know the boycott bots are bragging about it, but the movies actually were boring, so I'm hoping Brahmastra and/or Vikram Vedha will put a stop to the nonsense.

i have doubt on vedha

coz remake ka ab zamana nahi ha

Come on! I can show you articles of all times trolls and religious fanatics of other communities have been called out for harassing brands, stars, films.

Harbhajan Singh has slammed fanatic trolls of his community many times on Twitter and media made headlines on it.

Taapsee openly fought with trolls from Sikh community when there was controversy over Sikh characters in Manmarziyan and one guy threatened to beat her with belt and Arjun Kapoor defended her on Twitter and bashed those trolls for threatening to beat her. Media made headlines on it too.

Naseer and Javed also bashed fanatics of own community many times and Javed is attacked all time for being atheist or is labelled a sarkari lackey by his community.

Saif once openly spoke agaisnt SGPC creating controversy over Love Aaj Kal and Sacred games.

There are plenty of articles and editorials on fanatics of other communities trolling or targeting FoE of others. Do you want me to post links of all articles? Do you know how much Hartosh Bal, Khushwant Singh and his son wrote against fanatics of their community?

Who told you everyone only talks of BJP?

No films didn't comment on any political party

But today's stars do, on public platform like interviews or sms. In olden days movie personalities didn't use to do that as far as I know

Even on issues they made movies about it but they themselves rarely talked about it, I think and when they did like during Emergency, they landed in trouble

Aamir never said Hindus are intolerant and did NOT name any single particular community. He only said intolerance increased in India and his wife is concerned about what she reads in papers about happenings. He never blamed any single community.

So stop copy pasting same false claim when his interview is there for anyone to see.

And his words on intolerance were right. Any violence over petty reasons is wrong. Nowadays people are targeted over even memes or SM posts so Aamir was not wrong and even SRK was right about intolerance.

Naseer too was right on fanaticism of BOTH communities. He had criticised all communities for increased vigilantism incidents.

Javed also criticises fanaticism of all communities. Yet only one political group targets them and we all know why. They do not represent any religion but are paid political trolls.

speaking only for myself I dislike naseer, aamir's lies coz I am a hindu and not a paid political troll. After nupur Sharma started getting rape and death threats from muslims, naseeruddin shah said that these threats will not actually lead to anything and should be taken lightly(even though cases like those of kamlesh tiwari and Kishan bharwad already existed, kamlesh tiwari's family still hasn't got justice) and when hindus supporting nupur Sharma started getting beheaded naseeruddin shah felt no need to admit that he was wrong or apologise or condemn his community or anything

there is no way both communities can even be compared when it comes to intolerance.Everybody not ignorant saw how no muslim was attacked after jokes on Shivling while hindus are killed and threatened over comments on their prophet.Everybody not ignorant sees violence and genocide in kashmir, sindh, bangladesh,WB et cetera, everybody not obsessed with peddling shit like 'both religions are equally wrong' sees the population percentage of Hindus and other minorities in pak and b'desh and muslims' population percentage in india.

Salman Rushdie got attacked more than 30 years later a fatwa against him was released, last I read he was likely to lose one eye.Seeing this,it wouldn't be wrong to say that nupur sharma too wouldn't be too careful living cautiously all her life.Parallels like these can not be found in hindus. We don't kill or take laws in our hands with nearly as much frequency or barbarity, hindus majorly go for boycott or file cases when our religion is insulted ...there really is no comparison even if you keep saying "both" in caps lock.Your caps lock is not going to change the reality.

I know it hurts what I said. But my or your posting here as anon screen names on a forum is not same as public figure saying anything.

I am not saying one should not have FoE. But one need not speak unnecessarily or overshare either. For eg, there was no need for Rishi Kapoor to tweet he was a beef eating Hindu. I mean if he eats beef it is his choice. Why tweet it?

World does not need to know Rishi Kapoor ate beef.

Also, do you really believe in FoE? What about outrage that even old statements of stars cause? Like Amitabh's old quote that 'if you cannot stop rape, you might as well enjoy it'? He still gets trolled for it and his old magazine scans are shared online. Would you defend him for FoE?

Do you defend hate speech of Kangana, Abhijeet types as FoE? I do not think so.

All I am saying is that stars should choose words carefully and focus more on their work rather than oversharing about their personal life or forever making polarising comments on religion or caste or social or political issues.

The trend of being known more for offscreen statements and less for onscreen work is damaging and puts off fans also.

I want to see what my fav singer or actor sings or acts. I am not interested in what they eat or their personal life or what their beliefs are.
