I gained most of my weight by sitting and not moving around enough.
I am interested to know how your husband feels about thatđ
I can only imagine his reactionđđ
1. Regular brisk walks for atleast an hour a day.
2. Consume warm water ..half an hour before lunch.
3. Have more of salads, sprouts, cut down on junk foods.
4. If possible reduce sweets or stop sugary foods.
5. Stop using all purpose flour.
6. Include a bowl of mixed fruits and oatmeal in your breakfast.
7. Use stairs atleast once a day.
8. Walk down for your local visits as much as possible.
9. Keep hydrating during the day.
10. Early dinner say by atleast 7.30 pm is better for sound digestion.

You have to start slow. Do 10 mins a day and then increase it. Walking is the best â¤ď¸
I think this is the simplest and best advice so far. Will try this one first.đ

What's worked for me in recent years is intermittent fasting, getting in 5000-7000 steps a day and weight-bearing exercises.
I don't have time for lunch so I basically just eat between 6pm-10pm on weekdays, balanced meals with good amounts of proteins, fat, vegetables but low carbs. Carbs, especially sugar, make me crave food all day long.
Any place I can walk to safely, I will. I'll walk around my office complex a few times during the workday. I've even been known to walk around my dining table, iPad in hand while watching a show, if I didn't get around much on a specific day. All the steps add up.
Three to four times a week for about 30 min, I'll try to get in a good weights workout using heavy (15-20 lb) dumb bells or 3 sets each of body weight exercises (push ups, side planks, dips, burpees, squats, Russian twists).
When I was younger, I could just cut out the third helping of pizza and beer for a week and I'd lose 10 lbs. Weight loss does need more work as one gets older in my experience...
This is a good idea to try. I just wish I had more space to walk around the house.đ
