i may be in the minority but i do think in small towns this type of behaviour with the woman by their husbands and their inlaws is more prevalent...not because of mentality of big cities can be any different but because of the common mentalities and ideals and beliefs they share in small towns...

in small towns many women are afraid or rather shy to express or protest about their toils their sufferings most of which due to the social stigma...or being made fun of or because their sufferings might increase....

its the same with big cities as well...but in cities there are self help groups...consultants ready to hear your voice....

and many more informative communities which help them and encourage them to come out of the shadow...and state their suffering their story.

i.e what small towns and villages lack ...and its not only because of choti soch but....overall literary status of town ...but because of normalization of these atrocities... many have accepted it as their fate and many find it difficult to voice their opinion...and some who wants they may be shut down by their husbands, fathers, or fellow towns people....

a formal system lacks in small towns and villages along with the education and knowledge that its not okay to be ..... those silent victims are reduced by a large margin...

i.e what is different from cities and small towns.

ps:

an example have you heard the term "water wives"....in maharashtra.....now this is in one of the small towns in maharashtra... can these type of practices still prevail if it was practiced in cities....i dont think so...

so when we say small towns...many factors comes into play not just that "small mentality " part...education, supporting communities, media all comes into play..

Also the way he shouted on Raavi & break the mug she said kaha fas gyi ye ladki bhi, ye aadmi nhi sudharne wala😆

Now my MIL is from chhota shehar too & she doesn't approve of Shiva at all.. So what would TT fangirls say about her? She has issues,? didn't achieve anything in life? No experience? No experience of relationship?

Oh yeah only TT fangirls have all the experience.. My MIL is too inexperienced in front of them🤣

Obviously your MIL is not human and has done nothing in life bcoz Shiva and his deewaanis can never be wrong.

i visit twitter and IF a stalker you may call me that ...but i dont understand why namecall and humiliate real life people for characters..

IF aunties...shiva ki dewanis...

just like twitter people visit IF, people from here also visit twitter...

also twitter people saying that they achieved nothing in life and and cursing is just similar to IF people cursing that shiva ki dewanis deserve a life partner like shiva....

i mean why so much hatred towards real people for an obviously shitty show...

hypocrisy is prevalent in twitter... but as a person who reads posts here from time to time also....

many people here speak about feminism and rights of raavi...

but i have seen people troll about the "backless blouse" of dhara ....just because she is elder sister in law and she cannot wear such clothes .. or it doesnt fit her role....now these doesnt define hypocricy...

i mean a woman in 30 cant wear what she wants... we are discussing about this most basic topic....and if we show hypocricy in this how can we comment about...abuse..antopics of much importance...

Small correction: Twitter girls themselves call Shiva ki Diwani to them so it's not name calling

"backless blouse" is trolled bcz in show Dhara does the moral policing of what should be worn, what's appropriate dressing & even call out younger bahus

Otherwise agree with your points

Agree with your point too but like you said what's happening there due to many of these factors is not right.. Just bcz it's being normalized there doesn't mean it's normal.. But when these mentalities are excused bcz it's done in chhota shehar then it becomes a problem.

If as you said these chhota shehar ppl can't call out wrong due to many reasons, it's become even more of the responsibility of "bade shehar" Ppl or ppl who KNOW that this behavior is not right, to not normalize it by saying "chhote shehar mein to ye chalta hai", it becomes more of the responsibility of those who know it's wrong to call out it as wrong and not normalize it. That too for justifying a fictional character.

I always say what a character does is not actor's responsibility.. He/ she is just doing their jobs.. But when they start justifying things by saying it happens in "chhota shehar" like you said they are just adding to the part of the problem. They are normalising it too. Even audience are not obliged to accept or like things which are apparently "normalised" but are definitely wrong. If a show is having low standard, it doesn't mean we should lower our standards too by normalising it.

Hello friends 🤗

I came here to say that I felt so sad for Raavi towards the end of the episode 😭 the whole Pandya Pariwaar is selfish. Everyone thinks of themselves first! No one cares to celebrate her success instead is worried about their own needs. When Rishita got a job, everyone had ‘samosa party. Here Raavi bought food with her own money, she was called money spender now that she is earning 😭

Trust is lacking from day 1 for Shivi and no matter how much they love each other, they tend to hurt each other with words in anger. Shiva is bail buddhi and sometimes Raavi’s actions comes across as dobi but that’s because she is naive and trusts and love people easily.

What is her fault in wanting a family who accepts her wholeheartedly? Unfortunately Shiva’s insecurities won’t go away that easily neither Raavi’s needs of wanting to be part of Pandya family.

Raavi and Shiva are right in their own way however I would really like Shivi to have conversation and not let anger come in way to solve their misunderstanding.

As Dharamaata is on her way back to get on track, we will again see Raavi apologising eventually but I just hope she doesn’t give up her identity and carries on with her SM work.
