The narrative hasn't even once allowed to sympathise for Shamsher. If anything, they have only shown him being evil, episode after episode. The story so far has mainly been about abuse of power by the rich and influential over the common man.

Its a story which was inspired by true events from the interiors of Pak. The ending most likely wont be a fairly tale, they have kept it close to reality.

meant to respond back earlier. so this drama is a bit confusing for me. I am not sure if shamsher is supposed to be negative or someone grey. so far all his actions are really negative and I don't see any redeeming qualities. even if they showed it later, it would feel a bit of a letdown like they are trying to whitewash this character. so I am not sure what to expect really.

if this was purely some fictional type story set in dramaland, we can sort of ignore the problematic behaviours. however, given the serious tone of the drama, it really does not sit well with me especially as I watch a lot of true crime docs. that kind of abusive control where the guy does not even listen to the girl and is constantly threatening her and her family is very uncomfortable to watch -- danish is doing a great job of creeping me out.

it also distresses me to think that shamsher might get some sort of happy ending with mehek and it feels like stockholm syndrome in the works possibly. if this is based on reality and true events, then it would be good for the audience to see a show where characters like shamsher and his family are taught a lesson, whether it is by other characters or just by divine hand. otherwise, it would be really tragic and seem that we just have to accept the abuse of the rich and influential.....
