Asking this question on a BWF isn't very wise

Anyone who opens this thread is interested in BW and can't give you the real outside view

I think actual answer will come out after Khan movies are released...before that its too early to conclude anything.

But people like Swara Bhaskar , Ratna Pathak Shah, sonam kapoor etc..are definitely not helping BW...with their stupid statements

Now Boycott Aamir movie is trending on Twitter....lets see the response to the movie

Nobody boycott anything. It only amplify the hype for movie.

Examples are - Padmavat, Maachis

what is being ignored is economic recession and the effect of pandemic on incomes. lot of people lost jobs, had to dig into savings, also fear of similar situation has made people cautious and they dont want to splurge and given OTT etc they are anyway getting entertainment.

I also think hindi film audience has been more effected than south income wise which is why south films doing better, but even there movie going has reduced

i dont general audience knows or cares about these trends

No, it’s not.

Who started this trend and why?😲

Aamir is very sad and literally begging people not to boycott his movie. and he says He Love India.

It's not like ppl r boycotting BW.

Im not boycotting movies but I don't feel like going to theatres to watch cringe acting n boring movies.

Just glamour can't pull anyone to theatre.

Even reels r more entertaining than movies nowadays n ppl r more interested in travel and making their reels rather than watching below mediocre movies

I would say no. While boycotting can cause some hoopla on social media I don’t think it’s ever significant enough in the real world to make a difference.

If movies are not working well these days it’s primarily because they just haven’t clicked with the audience for whatever reason. OTT content is also challenging Bollywood filmmakers. People post pandemic might still be more picky about where they spend their money. There could a number of reasons why movies aren’t doing well, including some of them are just bad movies 😆. I just don’t think boycotting works. People wanted to boycott Padmavat too. Aamir Khan was asked to leave the country before Dangal. And these two cases seeped beyond social media too and it still didn’t work.

Mai bhi yahi soch raha hu

litmus test will be Brahmastra aur LSC

Brahmastra does good with LSC matlab boycott trend is not working

Brahmastra doesn't work but LSC works matlab star power is working

LSC doesn't work aur Brahmastra works matlab log sirf massive CGI film dekhne ja rahe hain

Both don't work means

1) Boycott trend is working (Disaster)

2) Economic condition (Flop)

Good opening but movie fails to recover budget means films are bad
