Was Sonali in Dil Chahta Hai? I don't know the name of the girl Saif ends up with, if that's her name then yeah she was good! Their story is hilarious and I loved Saif in it!

But I usually ff the first half cuz I find the second half of the movie much more entertaining. starts after Aamir boards the plane to Sydney. 😆

I don't remember him confessing his feelings to her ... but either way, I would say it was a crush at most.

The girl Saif ends up with is Sonali Kulkarni. She also played Salman Khan’s mother in Bahart. Yea that’s her, playing a 53 year old’s mother at 45.

DCH is one of Saif’s best performances IMO. People always talk about Akshay being great in comedy and he is, but so is Saif and this movie is a good evidence of that. It is a great movie and the 3 leads were absolutely excellent in their roles.

Here’s a little DCH trivia, apparently Aamir was the first one approached by Farhan and he was offered Sid’s. Aamir felt that Sid as a character was similar to what he’s done before and asked to play Akash instead.

He starts discussing it with his mom who starts lecturing him on how inappropriate it is . Tara walks in and says his mom is right its best if they avoid each other. He follows her to her house and says he loves her but doesnt expect anything in return. She asks him to leave and then he leaves town. Hes not in contact w her again presumably till he finds out shes dying

Interesting trivia that. I've always enjoyed watching Saif in movies ... even in Ole Ole and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. His role in DCH provided the kinda laughs the other two didn't.

Bharat? Never heard of that movie of Salman. But I'm not at all surprised about her playing his mother despite being younger than him. More whack are TV shows where women in their late 20's to early 30's are playing onscreen mothers to grown ups.

Thank you 🤗 Somewhere in the back of my mind I remembered Tara finding out about it. But I had totally forgotten about Sid’s mom and even him leaving town. Good memory Maroon.
