Areej agreeing to the marriage was so random, there's no reasonable transition from her resisting the marriage, to accepting her situation, and then being happy with Affan. Their whole relationship makes zero sense to me, I can't even pretend it's a whirlwind romance because they don't have much chemistry with each other.

It would have been quite easy to break them up, all someone needed to do was to tell Areej that Affan and Sikander are siblings. Or is Sikander doing this because he wants to take over Affan's company due to his business losses and this is perfect blackmail material? Like what even?

well at least areej has the sense to hold on to her job. when stuff goes spectaculary wrong, she will have at least have her own stream of income.
