What i think is he will kidnap kavya and later send her home to luthra safely.
The kidnapping won't be dragged.
Then he will reveal himself as karan and send rishta to jail. Taking charge of rishab business and lutra mansion.
He will give the duo a very tough time and preeta will start hating him.
What i can see is that preeran lovestory is turning into a hatestory and rishta friendship into love. Slowly and gradually
I could be wrong. But this is my theory for future
Earlier preeta was not married to rishab. They only had a friendship. Now is husband wife bond no matter whether their marriage is valid or not after karan's entry but they spent five yrs together in a husband wife tagged relationship bringing up a kid together. So yes, it does make a difference with rishta before and after the leap.
Moreover ekta is always obsessed with R for male and P for female in majority of her serials. Especially the latest ones which are still running.

This is the reason why when the show started itself , some members already predicted rishab preeta as the endgame. But will start with preeran first
There is actually no endgames in itvs. They are just theories made by fandoms.
I would have actually wished for karan's character pulled off the show and shakti came in with a new character and falls for preeta as well.
I am not liking him as karan but his pairing with shraddha is fine
Problem is I am not seeing any exploration of RishTa or Rishabh as a character so far. That is why i am basing my opinion solely on what they are showing.
Also people will accept Shakti coz he is popular and a good actor so PreeRan re-uniting isn't a tough thing to crack for makers.
Since the last 5 years Rishabh isn't the lead and now Shakti has entered as the new hero. I am okay as long as Rishabh doesn't turn negative and gets ample of screen space coz I watch only his scenes.
It's not even about endgame but about exploration of a relationship which is missing when it comes to Rishta. On the other hand PreeRan are well explored.
I would have preferred if they got a new female lead for Rishabh like Chhavi Pandey or any popular heroine but then they will never bring a popular face as 2nd female lead especially when Shraddha is there as the central character.
