NEW DELHI: When Bollywood actress Kajol, who is currently on the panel of judges of Zee TV's reality show "Rock N Roll Family" along with husband Ajay Devgan and mother Tanuja, broke down on the sets of the show, her husband chose not to console her.

While everyone on the sets was busy preparing for the next performance, Kajol started crying on the sets for no apparent reason on Monday.

Satish Dutt, the director of the show, said on phone from Mumbai: "Yes, Kajol was crying badly and everybody was there at the sets. I called Ajay and asked him what had happened to her. He said that ever since Kajol's dad has expired, she has been crying very often since she misses him a lot."

Kajol's father, director Shomu Mukherjee, died on April 10.

Dutt added that although Kajol's mother Tanuja hugged her, Ajay opted to stay away and let her calm down on her own.

cheers

contrary to what many may believe, i think that in a situation where a loved one has lost someone close to them (dad, mother, brother, sister)....its better to let them deal with it on their own after some time. Of course, Initially you will be there for them but after some time everything you say gets repetitive. And although its nice to know you have some1 there for you, i think Kajol knows that Ajay is always there for her. So personally i don't find anything wrong with him letting her have some alone time.

i agree.. she will be better handling her grief on her own .. showing sympathy will only increase her grief more... i think ajay is doing the right thing to let kajol get it all out on her own and plus her mother was there to support her ...

I think ajay did the right thing. Yes loosing a parent is a big blow for any one and it is better for kajol to handle this and come to terms with loss in time.
It never heals completely but the pain eases with the time and that time should not be hurried.

I have first hand experience as I was stopped from crying as an elder sister and was forced to take care of my mom and younger siblings and went thru a bad depression afterwards.

Crying is a natural process of grieving. there is nothing wrong in crying. It eases one's pain.

i agree with all of the above posts. sometimes it is better to just leave the person alone and let them cry their heart out. crying is a form of healing too.

i hope your feeling better now raksha di. 😊

I definitly think that what Ajay did was correct. I think it is better to let someone deal with their pain in their own way. It better for them to cool down on their own, to keep from more conflict more frustration and more trouble. I remember being in the situation and I had to let my loved ones deal with the pain alone cause I was afraid I would make things worse. So personally I can understand what Ajay did. I think it was definitly admirable. Plus media always makes mountains out of everything. Its like leave them alone. They have personal issues let them be. Why meddle?
Anyways, I think Ajay was correct. And I find this article to be a fly by piece. One of those articles I find very stupid. Thanks for sharing though, I was able to get my opinions out. Thanks, but the article is bs to me.

Thanks mithi, Yes I am better. But then there are days,

I think the best medicine for pain like this is time and keeping yourself busy so the mind won't have time to think about your perosnal loss.
