Is Anupama new progressive show for men?

Disclaimer: People who knows me, know how obsessed and madly in love I was with Maan. But the DV track with Mukku was too much for me to handle and I was forced to distance myself which only increased with time and I have stopped watching completely. Am aware of current story in bits and pieces only.

I was traveling last week and next compartment some aunties on top of there voice talked about serial they will Miss in journey..I heard loud and clear there obsession with Anupama, how she got up early to see despite the travel.... TRP audience is real and so is there craze..

I ignored it and hope, in real life they at least treat their DIL just the way Anu does for Kinjal. No point in thinking much..

Next, I visited some acquaintance and to my surprise, 70+ uncle by himself is watching Anupama, while aunty is busy attending to guests (me). This got me shocked to be honest. What kind of thought process is this serial evoking in the male members - Anuj or Vanraj?

Honestly, for me at this point both are wrong examples in entirety. I pray men only pick few good traits from Anuj. Rest you all can understand the feelings better left unsaid.

Many men watch Anupama and most of them sides with V.

On separate note, seeing how Nidhi is leaving the serial after being unhappy with track made me think about GauRups.

Somehow personally I feel, if RG and GK can take serious steps. If RG says she will leave the show, makers would bent to change the story. Anupama is now the worst example in today's society, she has zero empathy from me, she is hypocrite, as far as I am concerned.

GK playing a dumb lover boy in itself is not harmful. He is a weak guy, who will bend to any extent for his love. People like him are also real, unfortunately. So while his character is damaging, compared to Anupama for me he is still tolerable. We have men who dump his parents for wife, so Anuj ignoring Mukku is nothing new. Just that I can't ship or fangirl Anuj anymore.

The popularity they both have gained would have helped both actors get new project and good money. Still why they are not doing anything is beyond me. Somehow, it's all become a money game now, about TRP and Hero ki friendship.

Am disappointed and somehow today I can't call myself a fan of GK or RG anymore, won't be looking for their next work either. I am sure they have there own valid reasons to continue being a part of the serial.

That said, best wishes to both, a serial brings livelihood to lot of daily workers so definitely some good is being done too which can't be ignored.

The cuteness, hotness, and awesomeness.........all ness of Ak are outweighed by his insensibleness, stupidness, dumbness.............😒

seeing this serial me may not marry a woman whose divorced or widowed

because they see how anupama sidelining 2nd hubby anuj and his family for ex hubby and her ex in laws family

Agree and no offense, but it's a known fact that women divorced/widow with children face difficulty in second marriage as very few men/ groom's family are ready to accept the child...same doesn't apply for men.

And what is this serial portraying that new husband should be ready to accept not just children but X- husband also. See his new wife playing Dada Dadi with X and completely forget husband on her birthday and list goes on and on and on.

It's good to maintain cordial relationship with your X but excess is poison (if, one believes she was not abused and reason for divorce for Anupama was not abuse but ema. Sad but truth about this serial). One needs to maintain distance otherwise life becomes a daily soap aka kaands.

That's a debatable issue.

You asking if people relate to V, my answer would be yes. Because he validates their inner dark side. Makes it more acceptable to themselves in isolation, while they can also bash him in company to re-instate their societal image.

Disclaimer: this is not an assumption or judgement, every human has a dark side, what matters is if they choose to act on it or not, and fiction most of the time helps us live out our fantasies by projection.
