Sam, Smitha.. From whatever I have interacted with you guys, I feel we are same in the sense we look for meaning/logic in a show and character development matters to us. Keeping that in mind I would like to recommend a Korean series called Stranger. It is available in netflix. Just 16 episodes, an hour each.

That is the best series I have ever seen in terms of plot, characters, dialogues, cinematography, direction. If you guys can cross the barrier of watching with subs, please do give a try. First 3 episodes should be enough and still if you do not like drop it.

P.S. : It is not a romance based show. Also Sam, sorry to post this in your thread.
