Appnapan | The Parents and the Kids

First episode was interesting, we were introduced to the characters right in the middle of their normal day. Both the husband (Nikhil) and wife (Pallavi) have their hotels and are good chefs. They both expose cheating spouses. 😆

The kids, are obnoxious and tired of their mother's possessive nature. The daughter, Barkha tries to run away but her BF brings her home saying shadi to maa-baap ki ijazat se hi karenge 😆 They youngest kid looks a bit sensible, other two are rebel types 😆

They've been told, their father is dead but Nani accidentally says he's changed now and Barkha ends up texting her father. He has a mixed reaction, remembering her birthday as a child.

I loved Lalita, she's a sweetheart, a good friend and understands what Pallavi needs, wants.

Nikhil loves his kids .. Manna and her bro's birthdays getting neglected 🤔

This show is now giving EK's web series Cold Lassi aur Chicken Masala vibes😆

In that too FL has restaurant nd ML is famous chef.. but her kid is small in that nd here Anupama kids type😆

I loved Nikhil wanting to meet his Barkha, the baby Barkha scene was heartwarming!

Precap seems interesting! But EK hai to itni jaldi Mel milaap hone se raha 🤣 but Sony ka show hai to ho bhi sakta hai. Hope this is a limited series, sab achhe se ho. *Fingers crossed*

This show reminds me of Itna Karo Na mujhe pyaar… divorced parents, divided kids, kids not liking the parent they’re stuck with…. Anyone else also finding it similar?

From the promos, this show reminded me of another EK show Itna Karo na mujhe pyar. There also leads were separated with each having 2 and 3 kids respectively and both meet at the daughter's wedding 😆

Has anyone else seen that show?

The characters though seem different here. Haven't watched the episodes properly but seems interesting

It does sound very similar. Old wine in new bottle. Even the circumstance they meet are similar ie daughter's wedding. Characters seem different though. I haven't watched tbe episodes properly. Was searching for this forum to ask if its similar to IKNMP

So far the only difference I see is that they both are chef. From the cooking field. IKNMP leads were doctors. And there was a out of wedlock daughter too. So far I have not come across the illegitimate child. Mum has three dad has 2.

I hope it has new stuff because I loved that show and watching this makes me feel as if I’m rewatching it with new actors… doesn’t feel right (sorry)

I’ll give it a try for maybe 10-15 episodes in hoes of finding a different story line.

Yaar the dad even has a sister who looked after the kids. And I’m not even liking the sister. Pam was at least classy!
