Why is Aryan confiding in or believing Jyo?

This is one of the things that is irritating many of us in this track. Even I myself at one point had started thinking how is this not different from AKT trusting Malini's words. Then I realized there's a difference even when the tracks are similar. Similarity is that both Malini and Jyo managed to hit the weakpoints of men - Malini hit on AKT's weakness of male ego when Imlie ignored him and ended putting the blame on Imlie, as he couldn't accept that it was because of his faults; while Jyo too has tried to hurt Aryan in a similar manner by touching the infertility part, which is a very sensitive matter which can trigger any man's male ego. She too tried Malini's way of trying to blame Imlie but had to retract when she saw Aryan's immense trust in Imlie's loyalty. Then, her luck provided her the scapegoat in the form of Madhav, with which she could trigger Aryan's insecurities making him go blind in overprotective mode and his guilt complex triggering him into revenge mode. Not once his male ego came into picture and that's where the difference lies.

Why the otw calculative Aryan is falling for Jyo's words? With the overprotective & revenge mode on, Aryan has lost all his senses and now with Jyo around to manipulate him with facts, he is just behaving like the bridled horse. It's not because he trusts Jyo more than Imlie. It's because he trusts the medical reports which are facts and Jyo's luck has managed to get her into the good books of Aryan. Also with her broken marriage story, she has got a sympathy card too. Aryan was not the one who went and told Jyo about his infertility condition. It's Jyo who got to know about the mismatched reports from the doctor and didn't tell Aryan the truth. Instead she successfully used the opportunity in her favor and even got successful in replacing the second report. And then she played it out in front of him as if she came to know about it accidentally. Aryan cannot share the same thing with any of his dear ones, especially Arpita, as being his apne they will not be able to see him in pain. And being a human he too needs an outlet to share his pain and when Jyo on her own offered him a support, who to him is his well-wisher, he couldn't ignore it. Jyo is a well-wisher to him because she is the one who prayed for him to get a perfect life partner, which Imlie is to him. And in his eyes, she is the one who helped him with the arrangements to bring him & Imlie closer, be it the candle arrangements or the tree house date arrangement. Till now he hasn't had a single explicit proof to think against Jyo. And it is quite normal to believe Jyo's words, whom he knew from college days, than to believe Madhav's words, who all of a sudden became Imlie's friend out of nowhere. If Imlie can trust an out of the blue friend why can't Aryan trust his college friend with whom he would have spent more time than Imlie has spent with Madhav. Leave Aryan. Even Imlie till now doesn't have any doubts on Jyo. If she had, she wouldn't have listened to Jyo's advice to call Madhav home for editing & discussions. Also, don't we too share matters with our friends, which we hesitate to share with our family. We do. In short, there isn't anything abnormal in Aryan sharing everything with Jyo who to him is only his friend. The real test lies ahead. That's when Imlie brings all the proofs against Jyo. Will history be repeated? That is the plot.

I believe in yest episode, when Jyo was acting to show grief over her delusional mind that Imlie was finished, Aryan made his entry with a sad face saying I don't know what to do . Immediately a thought came to my mind, he is acting. Today it strengthened. There is no scope for doubt, fears related Imlie , there is only scope for old friend to doubt now. His initial talk of Imlies gut feeling correct about him even when he was lying was bang on. How can he distrust Imlies feeling since she can't be wrong now about her village friend. So he has to doubt his old friend as yes Imlie can be cheated by people she has trusted her ex-husband, sister now the female who she brought home and called a friend. Last time Aryan was wrong about his revenge. This time he can't be as the third udhaar is really not on Madhav but his old friend. Just an opinion. I can be wrong but it does pain him to do this act even before Imlie.

That dance done by Jo was witnessed by Arpita and we don't know what Aryan did about the shooting that happened targeting Imlie. Now even Madhav is targetted. Aryan can ignore both

Well said jii...This plot s well planned by makers to turn out as parallel to akt malini track...imlie with evidence will slowly move towards jo unknowingly and at that time jo get to know imlie suspects her she will play victim card like dd and try to gain sympathy... But aryan will trust imlie and jo in turn may harm chikku resulting n mc i guess... I can take Wtever without breaking their trust on eo...

It's almost common in itv FL acts more intelligent and i said in other thread for winner need runner so aryan has to b bit downed to hype imlie here...

This is one hell of confusing or shall I say frustrating track. I was away for few days as that time baba curing infertility and Narmada's 360 flip was too much for me to handle.

Checked only yday, was hoping, this Jyo UM track should be over by now. I too have been wondering how is this different from AKT revenge between Aryan and Imlie. Imlie then too was sure than AKT is innocent like she believes for Madhav now, Aryan feels he has the facts. I hated that time too for showing Aryan in fault by not checking facts but let it go as actor was leaving.

But why is he shown to repeat the same mistake here, fine he did tested twice but why reveal details of 2nd test to Jyo so that she can change the results. Aryan was shown as private person, Jyo was not close friend but then how is he continuing all these private discussion with her. Technically he has brought third person between Arylie with this.

How is he so careless with such personal tests. And agreed at times one is comfortable to share such things with friends or stranger than family. But Jyo is practically living in your house. Why doesn't he questions her extending her stay so long? He asked Imlie as Paying guest to not interfere in his family matters (even as DIL during Surpita marriage) but why is Jyo given freehand here.

I have not seen the AKT/Imlie/Malini track so can't comment. But even if Aryan doesn't doubt Imlie is ready to accept the child; I would like to think should Imlie as mother accept this pity. Her child will not get the father's love which is his right but a pity because of love for his mother. This track is disappointing for me to be honest, I can't take Aryan as Jyo best friend by confiding in her and then this repeat of Purandas sort sorry Aryan track. I want to see partners who first and last confide with each other or none.

Hope, they wrap up this track soon and bring something sensible. I joined because I was hoping to see growth of 20 years old girl. Not this saas bahu, MU drama. I miss that Aryan who taught Imlie to eat with chopsticks, reminded others in office that she is just 20 year old. Not just Jyo, I want BD and BM also to pack there bags and leave. Bring on swag wala male antagonist, proper jealousy track if need be, office politics but not this lame one. I have not seen T family drama but wondering is R family going better or worst here.

I will have to disagree with you -- jo and aryan's friendship does not comes across as real. they are not alike in personality, have no simliar interest; the only thing they have in common is that they once studied in the same college. well, that isn't enough to have a deep friendship where you are just confiding very sensitive stuff like infertility. I find that really odd and unrealistic.

also, when there is a gap where you haven't met for a few years and lost touch, there is a process of rebuilding that friendship. you do not reveal sensitive information till you have rebuilt the trust. there is often a need to save face and so people don't tell the whole picture. I am reminded of this country song but I can't remember the name or the singers -- it beautifully captures that awkwardness of meeting old friends after a long gap especially after one has gone through things like divorce etc.

jo comes across more like a good acquaintance. so why is he listening to her? because he has no real friends and needs a male confidant!!!

I feel like if he had male friends like in bade achhe lagte hain (season 1), we would see very different dynamics play out because the guys would give advice from a different perspective. if they have shown him having a female friend (the wife of his best friend) like how the male lead had in BALH S1 where he knew that she was always practical, then it would not be odd if he confided in her because he has been doing so for years.

jo and him do not have a friendship -- just rammed in for story. baby doll is more convincing as his childhood friend.

coz due to coincidences he himself now believes madhav indeed did wrong with imlie that night, so he thinks Jo was obviously right.. that's y he didn't say Jo's name to imlie also.. he is trusting her..

Agree... Apart from bad writting there can be no real friendship or connect between Aryan and Jyo to discuss such private things as infertility and Imlie-Madhav relationship. This trust and confiding in Jyo by Aryan is the biggest disappointing thing for me in this track.

I can't accept Aryan confiding in Jo. EVen in college days they were not shown as friends who are able to talk their heart out.

It looked so unlike Aryan entering the house with tears in Yesterday's episode. He has been shown to mask really well even Infront of Imilie before marriage. I feel makers are playing with Aryan's character a little to move the track forward/for story telling purpose and I accepted these linients will be given in itv land

I agree Aryan's infertility is a big thing, still it's not a comfortable issue to talk to a friend like Jo. So far she hasn't shown that she understands his pain in her conversations. A person who is indirectly porking you with the comment "tum pap Nahi ban Sakti" at every given opportunity isn't a person who one would be able to confide in at a time of insecurity, pain or any emotions Arayn is going through ATM. It looks illogical.

The other aspect which makers are trying to portray through Aryan is that he is more concerned for Imilie than his fertility issues. If this is true then also it sounds so wrong to talk about your wife's most darkest moment/issues with another person. To Aryan's character a secret isn't a secret if it goes to third person. Now he himself is maligning his own wife's dignity. If he is so protective of his wife I rather see him alone, unable to speak to anyone, denying Jo at face value but confused within himself. He is indeed talking too much to Jo, giving too many details. The Aryan I know would deny Jo, cut her off but would show his dilemma through his monologue.

Taking in to consideration if he feels his promises to dada, himself and to Meeti regards to protecting Imilie, any issues should pass through him before hitting her is effecting him even then he is hurting Imilie and it's visible to him. I would rather see the Aryan unable to say/do anything due to this battle. I wouldn't mind Aryan fighting within himself unable to hurt Imilie in anyway and unable control his anger/revenge towards Madav.

Another loophole is I am not convinced it's a plan in front of Jo yet. He is hurting Imilie. He is indirectly telling her he is been cheated, although not implying to her cheating him. Still it wouldn't translate the same way to Imilie. I have a gut feeling it's to carry forward after the Jo PF. Don't know how Imilie will forgive him, she will love him still, understand him but forgiveness? I don't know. She is trying her best to explain, talk to him as much as she can up untill now since she knows the truth. Seems Imilie is the one who doesn't confide her issues with someone else. She speaks on his face even when she's wrong.

I will give it away the fact he isn't connecting the dots of all the accidental situation for the sake of drama and itv. Whenever Jo is involved there is a threat to Imilie's life, the candle decoration, tree house, gas leak. Then Madav"s accident after the revelation is fishy. Even that I could give it away as Madav could have done that to someone else and faced the consequence. But I am unable to take the fact a shoot out had happened and all Aryan could think of is the abuse but not the threat to her life?

Aryan and Jo were college friends and the snippet at her introduction shows he did consider her as his friend then. He seemed to have even gifted her ear rings, albeit stolen from Arpi, on her birthday. It is not like they relationship ended on a sour note, he was happy to see her and hug her in public when they met. It is not uncommon for old friends to meet after a few years and resume from where it stopped. Yes, it is gibberish that Jo mata thinks they are meant to be a couple but Aryan seem to think of her as an old friend.

In any of the infertility related discussions, he never has initiated the conversation with Jo. If an old friend whom he has no reason to distrust is offering support, that too voluntarily, why not talk to her. It is frustrating for us to watch but to me from Aryan’s point of view, there is nothing wrong.

I am loving the last few episodes, story as well as the acting but what I don’t get in all this is, what is Jo going to get from this. Aryan has made it clear he trusts Imlie. If he trusts her, he is not going to leave her and marry Jo at any cost, why then does she feed him nonsense about Madhav and keep instigating him. Even in a worst case scenario, if Imlie and Aryan split over Madhav, Aryan is not the kind who will marry Jo just to spite Imlie. Even if her plan of killing Imlie had worked, I doubt Aryan would move on and marry Jo. She is delusional at a different level.

Though you have said it perfectly well when Aryan talks about anything with Jo I loose my mind . But yes he can share certain things with friend. My only issue with him is someone like him who is overprotective of his family has not done any checks on the bedroom fire or tree house collapse or even attack on Imlie when she was with children. Something should have triggered there. He can be blind at times, he can be a mess too but it is hard to believe that he has not sensed the abnormalities going around him. The wedge between the couple is not a foreign issue for him they have had this kind of situation before, stand against each other while going forward with their belief but here again doesn't Aryan know about Imlie's instinct? When he was having revenge syndrom back with AKT he was open minded and has helped Imlie even though he believed that searching for the truth is futile. So the way he is blind again as he feels guilt that he couldn't protect Imlie can't he trust Imlie again blindly? I seriously don't know what I am writing. I hope I make sense.
