Yes, however lately its really hard to find anything decent to watch.
The last new movie I watched was Bacchan Panedy - only because it came out around the time of my birthday and I wanted an excuse to go to the theaters.
However recently I rewatched RGV's Company ; I am watching more old movies till Bwood decent to make something decent.

My Dad is a Hollywood Movie buff, although he knows about well known stars in Bollywood and their work. I had to DRAG him and my family to watch Om Shanti Om (back in 2007 I think) - with how greatly it was promoted and it was star studded. I wanted to redeem Bollywood in his eyes and prove to him, that BW produces good Cinema too.
And I was in a Facepalm mode THROUGHOUT in the theatre, embarrassed by how silly I thought the film was, the overacting, and SRK overhyping himself in the movie, glorifying him after rebirth etc. I am like, MEH. Gone are the days of subtle and beautiful story telling. I guess 90s and upto 2005 was films were decent and then it became Masala stuff, with nimbu, mirch marke tadka, but no real good stuff.
So to answer your question, from that day on? I stopped watching BW films altogether. So nope, not watching any. Same with iTV.
The only ones I dared to watch post 2007 were Kangana's films like Queen, TWMR. Those were good & I watched them upon a lot of insistence & yes, those were good.
Sorry to hear your story. 😆 OSO wasn't that great, perhaps KKKG would have redeemed it in his eyes.
but I'm with you on this, can't stand masala and potboiler crap either! I enjoyed both Queen and TWMR too ... they were entertaining without compromising quality and storytelling!
I can totally relate...
There is hardly anything that gets me excited about Bollywood.
Too much of focus of last generation and this generations personal life. All look similar and speak similar, there is not much spark or ingenuity.
The ones who are relatively good are not given proper opportunities.
Remakes, remakes, remakes
The stars lack charisma and persona.
Last time I went to watch something on theatre was Dangal.
Though I occasionally watch well made films like Kahani, Gangs of wasseypur etc.
Yes
Haven’t seen any in a cinema since before Covid. But if it pops up on Netflix or Amazon or Disney + I’ll watch it.
Haven’t seen Radhe tho. I’m not watching movies based on my faves anymore. Just about what’s available and what I have free time for

Oh my goodness. No.😳K3G put me to sleep. 😆 Itna drama, I couldn't take. KKHH definitely redeemed it to some extent. He loved KKHH and Kal Ho Na Ho.
K3G was the filmy version of Saas-Bahu parivaar drama, except shot in London with BW folks. I'd rather watch Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi! Still more interesting than K3G.
Kangana irrespective of how her offscreen persona is, she had some great films under her belt in the recent years.
I don't remember the last be movie I watched seriously.

There was this explosion of creativity in Bollywood in the first half of the 10s, peaking in 2012. Even when the film's weren't great, you could see what the makers were trying to do. It was also early days for the post Dabangg masala film boom, and even they were pretty fun back then too. But these same directors have become more and more stale, recycling the same plotlines and character sketches. To the point where it is pretty much unwatchable now.
I think Anurag Kashyap becoming friends with Karan Johar was when this new dark age truly started.
Word to this post. In early 2010s , there were takers for all kinds of cinema, mainstream commercial, offbeat dark, small budget light hearted. Kashyap toh had started developing a small section of loyal audience and the convergence which he made through gangs was so epic to witness. Apart from that, newer templates had started to emerge which continued for a while until they saturated.
OT: I personally used to watch truck load of movies in theater, including the ones where there were 6-7 people on the hall, but like everybody said, the content now is nothing new, barely any thing creative. Especially looking at the new lot of actors, they feel so empty with barely any passion or enough respect for the craft. It is like all of them together have started to take audience for granted and just fulfilling their whims and fancies in the glamour world instead of striving to entertain the audience, these things spell doom.
OTT etc can never replace a theater experience, the latter is a different ball game together. Community viewing amplifies the reactions a film attempts to elicit, takes you to a different world altogether, unlike the well lit homes with a small screen.
Nope... I take pride only in trolling...
