Arnav & Khushi moments - joint collaboration of Maria, Raji & Gauri

Comments, suggestions, recommendations, criticism welcome!

1st Trip, fall and catch

Trip, Fall and Catch became their routine dance number which started on the day they met.

Arnav was in a relaxed mood after settling scores for all the wrong things happened to him and his family 14 years ago. Now he is a successful businessman and in a position to take good care of his family. According to him nothing can go wrong.

All Khushi wanted to do was to make sure her Jiji gets married to a nice man. Then she can continue working at the sweet shop and help her Babuji in repaying the debts. Little did they know that they are about to thrown on a roller coaster ride when Khushi tripped and fell in Arnav's hands and Arnav caught her.

After year and a half, they become so habituated to the routine that Khushi asks him "sambhaliye" and Arnav assures her that "hamesha sambhaltha rahunga"

1st Face off - at Dargah

This is so true when it comes to Arnav & Khushi. Destiny made sure they cross paths over and over again until they realize there's no other option but walking together! This was the first of many encounters to follow. Khushi follows the stranger who dropped his "mannat-ki-chaabi" to return it to him. Little does she knows that the key had the power to open doors that neither of them knew existed.

1st Rabba Ve moment

Khushi looked ethereal in the Red Sari. When the highlight was turned on, only Khushi was visible to Arnav who was walking down the stairs. She simply blew him away. He was entirely in control of his feelings until then. Something happened at that moment and the person who used to claim that he is always in control of his feelings could not utter a word until Lavanya broke the spell. When Jeff put his proposal forward and after looking at Khushi's face one more time, he had no choice but to agree.

That was the power of the moment.

1st Sorry from Arnav

The man who never felt the need to apologize to anyone, had to hunt Khushi down to say sorry. She had reigned over his every waking moment, even on her day off. It was the first sorry Arnav ever said to Khushi and boy did it take some practice! Bitwa had to take an entire day off just to learn the art of saying sorry! But nothing could have ever prepared Arnav for the apology that came from within when Khushi broke down while sharing the past about her Amma-Babuji. His eyes glistened with unshed tears when he finally said "Sorry...sorry...I am really sorry". Barun aced that scene with emoting just through his eyes. The gazebo dressed in fairy lights gave the scene a magical touch!

1st Hasee (of Arnav)

"Aap haste hue bahut achhe lagte hain"

It took Khushi almost a year to say that to Arnav, but she had a glimpse of his hasee when she made him chuckle during her blabber while applying besan all over her face. We can understand Khushi's state, as she just witnessed Arnav in a vulnerable state when he fainted. She fed him her favorite jalebi when he asked for sweet. What a couple!

1st Hug

After an impromptu and extremely eventful Nainital trip, Khushi returns home to find her Babuji suffer a massive stroke. She's devastated, yet she summons all her positivity & energy to take care of her grieving family. But she’s just an eighteen-year-old who finally loses the fight trying to hold the fort all by herself. When she finally begins to crumble down, Khushi prays to Devi Maiyya for strength...and behold the strength arrives, like a prayer answered! Arnav's "Khushi!" is all it takes for her to rush towards him and embrace him in a soul clenching hug, seeking solace in just his presence. She finally breaks down and shares her deepest fears - things she didn't share even with her own family. Arnav is left stunned. Who knows it better than him about how it feels to lose a parent? Or how nerve-racking it is to stay strong when your entire world is collapsing? He understands what Khushi is going through better than anyone else ever could, yet his inhibitions don't allow him to comfort Khushi in a way he would want to. His reluctance to hug her back speaks volumes about what he himself is going through. The first (half) hug set a milestone in Arnav & Khushi's journey towards each other. They may be at loggerheads for the most part, but when it comes to seeking solace, they only have each other to turn to!

P.S - The slow strings of rabba-ve when Khushi starts to walk and then break into a sprint when she sees Arnav is goosebumps inducing!

1st Almost Kiss

As soon Arnav saw Khushi surrounded by 7 layers of diyas, something snapped in his mind. Nothing and no one mattered. Only Khushi in Red Sari in the centre of the Diya circle. The attraction was palpable. After carefully tending to her sprained ankle, he could not control. He took his time to reach her, touch her and fix her hair before bending down to kiss her. Sanaya and Barun both nailed that scene.

Should we say Damn, Aman called or Glad Aman called?

1st Date

So "table for two" it was after all! Arnav &Khushi decide to keep aside their differences just so they can get Akash &Payal together. Strategies were discussed and plans were made over chai& biscoot. Hands were shaken to seal the deal. This first date was also a beginning of a new phase in their life for Arnav & Khushi which lasted all through Akash & Payal's wedding ceremonies. Sanaya was a natural in this scene with her adorable sankiness

1st Dance,Teri Meri

Every one was worried about the missing partner Saritaji. Shyam had the audacity to indirectly offer his services. Khushi's best friend NK was about to go and help but Arnav beat him to it by surprising everyone including the lady in Green. Oh boy! for a person who hasn't danced in the last 14 years, he has done a wonderful job. Matching step to step with Khushi. Or was he leading in his own style and Khushi followed? In any case, they both have done a great job.

1st (Bhaang induced) Confession

Another gazebo, another magical moment! Khushi is tricked into having bhaang, and later she tricks Arnav into having it. But it was the bhaang that tricks them both into saying things that were stuck in the deep recesses of their hearts <3 Holding Arnav's hand in both her hands, Khushi places it over her racing heart and asks the question which has been hounding her for months "Aisa kyun hota hai...jab bhi aap hamarepaas aate hai...toh hamare dil ki dhadkan tez ho jaati hai?" Arnav is rendered speechless - by Khushi. Her touch. And her innocent question. It's the first time she confesses that his nearness has the power to make her heart go crazy. Before he can answer Khushi's question, she faints in his arms. A tear appears at the corner of his eye, which he wipes away with knuckles. Arnav carries her all the way to their poolside. He wipes the gulaal from her cheeks and is left mesmerized just watching her. Khushi regains consciousness and her dhak-dhaks come back with full force finding Arnav just a breath away. She urges him again to answer, and this time Arnav does disappoint. He mimics Khushi's action from the gazebo and places her hand on his heart, providing her with the evidence that it's not just her heart that go into a frenzy. "Jab tum mere paas hoti ho, toh tumhare dil ki dhadkano ke saath saath, mere dil ki dhadkane bhi tez hojati hai" and then concludes that the racing of hearts is due to their collective beating of their hearts - "Hamari dhadkane ek ho jati hai!",he says.

1st I love you dammit

"I love you"s are common, but it made so much special when Arnav added a dammit to the common phrase and when Khushi reciprocated in her own style.

Arnav never finished' kyon ki' until that point. The moment has arrived to complete the sentence. He must assure Khushi that this relationship was as much important to him as it was to her.

Finally he said it - "because I love you dammit"

When everything settled down and it was decided that they will head to the altar with all rituals and customs, it is time for Khushi to say, "hum bhee aap se I love you dammit".

What a cute moment!

I ended up re-watching the episodes too (hence the delay 🙈)

"What nahi pot"

Khushi walks into a heated situation where Nani is reprimanding Lavanya for misplacing the sacred Tulsi plant. Before she could handle the situation, Arnav walks in and she is unable to hear anything above her heartbeats. All she can see is an inaudible Arnav and all she can hear are her dhak-dhaks. Lavanya pulls Khushi out of her zoned out state and explains the situation in a hushed voice. She had mistakenly placed the Tulsi plant next to the pool and is now scared to confess it to Nani. So Chamkili comes up with a brilliant idea to blame it all on Arnav. She then makes an elaborate show of explaining how it was an honest mistake and how Naniji & Devi Maiyya won't mind. When Arnav still doesn't seem to follow her plan, Khushi incessantly starts winking at him, trying to convey that he should get onboard with this plan. No one knows whether it was because ASR understood her game plan or was it just to make her stop the winking, that he finally takes the blame. The "pot" question is resolved, but the mystery behind Khushi's racing heartbeats still remain unsolved.

La(vanya) - La(kshmi)

We can describe La(vanya)'s relationship with Raizadas through another La(kshmi).

Lavanya was apprehensive at the beginning, mellowed down a bit in the middle and by the time she left, she completely embraced all the relationships.

Lavanya disliked Lakshmi at the beginning for more reasons than one. She even called the pet goat mutton.

To earn brownie points from Nani, she even went to an extent to look after Lakshmi. At the end she so lovingly carried before leaving for London.

Lavanya made us fall in love with her with her transformation.

"Tu hain meri fantasy!"

Khushi is disheartened after finding out that Nani, Anjali & Lavanya had tricked her into coming to Shantivan on the pretext of training Lavanya. When she starts to leave, they decide to placate her by doing the one thing they know Khushi herself would do for others - nautanki and lots of naanch-gaana. Thus starts the beginning of the epic Ooh la la song where all ladies present in Shantivan shake a leg in an attempt to earn Khushi's forgiveness. Arnav who comes to investigate what the commotion is all about, is shocked to his very core; so much so that the phone slips from his hand as he watches on in utter shock the spectacle that's playing before him. The ladies finally manage to calm down Khushi who couldn't help but show some of her own moves. Khushi cannot really resist dancing on a bollywood song now, can she?!

Big sister Payal

Payal shared a special bond with Khushi. She trusted Khushi with the biggest decision of her life. She always knew when Khushi was sad, upset, happy or Sanki. How can she sit back and watch when great Arnav Singh Raizada brought an unconscious Khushi home late in the night? She did not hesitate to question his intentions while telling him how his actions affected Khushi.

She was another Gupta girl who made Arnav speechless.

"Nanheji, aap bohot budhiya hain"

Nanheji and Khushiji hit it off right from the time they first met. Their friendship grew in leaps and bound in the days leading to Akash & Payal's wedding. NK's broken Hindi, and Khushi correcting him gave us some very entertaining moments, much to the chagrin of a certain green-eyed Raizada. One such incident is where NK tries to diffuse a hot situation between Madhubala & her 2 pupils - Naniji & Buaji. He wants to say "sab bohot badhiya hain" (everyone is absolutely great), but ends up saying "sab bohot budhiya hain" (everyone is very old). Khushi manages to correct him before the situation could escalate, and then compliments him by saying "Nanheji, aap bohot budhiya hain!" (You are very old). This fun conversation even manages to elicit a chuckle out of Arnav who seemed to be in a perpetual bad mood during those days

Mamaji's One liners

Mamaji was a true gentleman, who loved his wife, mother, son, nephew and niece unconditionally.

Whenever he appeared on the screen, his one liners were to die for.

"Eee lo banat hai saas, aur khud ko samjat hai Khaas"

"Chaubees din ke liye hum bahar ka gaye, tum chaubees saal ke shaadi bhuladee?"

"Mujhe khamoshi pasand hain, jiske baare mein tumhe pata bhi nahi hoga"

Arnav cancels the sangeet planned for Akash & Payal's wedding citing the reason that he detests naanch-gaana & shor-sharaaba. He tells Khushi he likes khamoshi, a concept which is alien to her. Khushi takes this challenge personally and vows to show Mr. Raizada exactly how much she knows about silence. She gathers rest of the Raizadas...well, the ones who want the sangeet to take place, and comes up with an ingenious plan to give Arnav a taste of his own medicine. Led by Khushi Kumari Gupta, Nani, Mama-Mami, NK, Anjali and Hari Prakash take on the difficult task of staying mute in the face of a roaring Arnav. What ensues are some hilarious situations where a perplexed Arnav tries to understand why his otherwise sensible family has suddenly gone crazy. He eventually finds out the truth and realizes the futility of it all. So in the end, like every other harebrained scheme of Khushi, this too is successful, and with Arnav's permission everyone starts off to prepare for the sangeet.

Manju's love for Khushi

We all know Jalebi making is Khush's stress buster. But eating Jalebi is also a stress buster for Khushi. After dealing with Akadu Singh Raizada's unreasonable tasks the whole day, all Khushi can think of was some jalebi. Manju showed concern when Khushi was still at the office late in the night. She even saved a packet of food for Khushi. When Manju offered the food, Khushi asked "Jalebi Nahi Hain"? Manju aunty rightly pointed out that "today is Khadwi sabji ka din hain".

The bond between them was so sweet!

"Hum ek Laad Governor ko sambhaal hi rahe hain, aaj teen-teen ko sambhalenge!"

What is Khushi if she is not sanki? And in her interaction with Sethi & Sethi brothers, she was at her sanki best! Arnav had lost his voice due to a mosquito repelling agarbatti that Khushi had lighted the night before. Whether or not it worked on the mosquitoes is questionable, but it definitely worked in silencing her Laad Governor (poor guy was allergic to it) So it was decided that Khushi will be Arnav's voice for the day when he deals with the Sethi brothers. At AR office, Khushi had come to know about the fraudster Sethi brothers when she overhears them talking about tricking the Raizadas. So while she waits for the police to arrive, Khushi decides to have some fun of her own. With Arnav having no say in the conversation, quite literally(!), she talks unrestrained about her dabba service and how lucrative it is for them to invest in her business instead of AR. Arnav tries his best to do some damage control, but there is only so much he can do without his voice. Finally the police show up and arrest the conmen, making Arnav & Akash realize that Khushi just managed to save the day!

Akash's love confession

Akashji confessed his love to Payalji and how? He started with the Chunari, which Payal left at the shop because it was expensive. Then a bag of potatoes to share the love for the sabji. Third in the line was a thali which Payal used as a mirror and finally the Gold painted Diya. He decorated the whole park with beautiful lights before getting Payal to the Park using Rishab's services. What a beautiful confession!

"Khushi ko toh main mana hi loonga, lekin aap kyon aise behave kar rahi hain?"

Arnav always shared a special relationship with Buaji. Whether it was sharing jokes over a cup of tea or helping her around the house during his infamous stay at Laxminagar, he had bonded with Buaji. So he obviously was on the edge when Buaji was mad at him for forgetting her beloved Titaliya's birthday, let alone not getting a present for Khushi. A chatty & demanding Buaji, he could deal with. But he had no idea how to please a vexed Buaji. So in his determination to win Buaji's heart, he eats a mountain of puris & desi ghee ka halwa, something that's definitely a feat for him. By the end of it, he's in a terrible state...but he does end up winning Buaji's heart as planned
