Why isn't Prithviraj working ??? - Page 5

I feel people remember Rajat Tokas as Prithviraj Chauhan more than Akshay Kumar. They should have gone for Rajat Tokas only. Akshay looks like the worse choice for this role.

Manushi Chillar as Sanyukta looks really bad. We have so many flowerpots in bollywood.

I feel like Akshay’s time is over.

Kartik has taken over comedy and Tiger has taken over action. Akshay used to be the top actor for both genres, but it seems the moment has passed. Manushi will be fine, needs the right support/movies to do well.

Heard that Kamal Hasan's Vikram which is a Tamil Film and Telugu film Major made lot more money at the Box office than this flick.

Both Major and Vikram are supposedly doing way better in over seas too.

Vikram crossed 100cr mark in two days and will have 150cr weekend 🤷‍♀️ that's their budget

Major's budget is around 30cr and they are likely to recover their budget in first weekend

Ramsetu and Raksha Bandhan are his next releases, this series of flop won't matter, he'll be happy with one hit

Both of those seem like big disasters. Raksha Bandhan especially sounds like the biggest snoozefeast

Both have fantastic actors and great word of mouth

Tanhaji was well made though. Movie was gripping from start to end. Crisp direction. And Ajay suits as Maratha warrior.

Akshay looks chipka hua aam as Rajput warrior. And trailer itself was a give away that movie won’t work.

Even Arjun’s Panipat’s Sadashiv act was better than Akshay’s Prithviraj. 😆

The fact that it even opened to 10 crores, inspite of bad trailer , music and Akshay looked horrible as a king is because of his pull and popularity.

Prithviraj is a legend and so is the love story, younger actors with either SLB or even an Ashutosh would have done well.

But the question remains after Hrithik and Ranveer who can actually pull off historical characters.

I think south directors do extremely well in this genre and have done so from the beginning

there's literally no buzz for the movie...if not for IF i wouldn't even know it released this weekend, and plz don't even compare this to Tanhaji...that movie started slow too but strong WOM made it a superhit...it was a much better made movie, with an amazing BGM and actors who suited their roles...It was a chore to even finish Prithviraj's trailer.
