.I told you so.🥺❤️👏.. it was obviously coming with the urgency with how Rahul cut the phone for Chanda I knew it but then the easy it happened and the way they were united in it wih kisi ek ka gham nahi sabka gham tha and yes I loved the rawness the real feel of it all it actually felt like a real death rather than one in a TV show. For a change even the media wale showed to have a heart instead of sensationalizing them praising ke milk ke loue marne ko yehi jawaab khade hote hain the way prahalad ji broke and the way they all tried to share his dukh .. abhishek toh almost like his own son..man such lovely and emotional stuff also loved the way the ladies stopped that corrupt ML to use it ad a photo opp.. now that was one extra special highlight for neena'd xharacter..the whole yeh Parivaar hai came our without any actual relationship solid parivaar feeling as the title said.
Yes really liked the development of tiny and abhishek too ek dum normal no instant Maggi noodle wala kuch bhi and rinky is shown to be such a samjhdaar girl too. The other bit that really got me was abhishek getting hurt over them not saying anything to MLA and then them feeling guilty over it that was hard hitting too uss MLa ka toh muh tone k dil kar raha ths mera and I was riled up like Prashant ji too when he abused them all ughh. I cannot wait for season 3.. such a heartwarming little show..
Oh yeah, word about the media surprisingly not being shown soul-less for once.....that was a very subtly powerful moment as they juxtapose the two reporters talking about 20K ki job ke liye desh pe jaan dene waale sirf gaaon mein milenge and side se Abhishek is listening - it's such a hard hitting bit as they discuss service to the nation ka jazbaa when you are barely getting paid anything and you can feel Abhishek's guilt pangs even without a word uttered from him.
There are just so many bits to pick from that entire last epi where SILENCE speaks such volumes....they had a song playing over the entire funeral sequence but it was the silence of the characters that was making me so emotional - the devastation and silent grief on all their faces....bits like Abhishek putting his hand over Prahlad's when he's going to light the funeral pyre....and it feels so hard hitting even without Prahlaad turning to give some big emotional look to Abhishek....still you feel what a unit this group of 4 is....
Rahul was introduced as such a sweet faced unproblematic kid that I just knew they will kill him off for the tragedy of it.....still even though we saw it coming, that entire funeral sequence managed to make so many statements about society, family, service ka jazbaa and what true friendship is all about. The last bit when Prahlad breaks down when they put the plate of food in front of him - man you can't stop yourself from crying along with the 4 of them....sabka grief kitna differently dikhaya - that one shot of Vikas standing on his terrace with tears in his eye was also so powerful.....and Jeetu ka forte nahin hai emotional scenes so they didn't show him dissolving into tears either - it makes sense that the grief of those people who've known Prahlad so much longer hit differently but what this moment did was pull Abhishek even more closely into this tightly knit fold - they bonded through that grief....and now I'm intrigued to see how that evolves the dynamics in the next season.
They haven't shown Abhishek's family at all so far....lol maybe they are saving them to show whenever Abhishek-Rinki get serious enough to consider marriage....lol....bahut drama hoga tab. For now, the focus remains on Abhishek's work family and that's the USP of the story.
I also feel they will bring back the iconic dulha from S1 in some later season too....lol this time they just referenced him offhand in the scene when his wife is visiting and she conveniently happens to be Rinki's close friend😆 - toh pucca that guy will show up in the story again later.....haha
The MLA is also a solid villain along with Banrakas ji ofcourse.....lol everything will test humare Fab 4 😆 and it's interesting to watch them navigate any problem - big or small....and the way they convey their hurt or expectations....like Abhishek feeling upset that Pradhan ji didn't take a stand for him when that MLA abused him....and kaise that snake incident when Pradhan ji came to rescue him at a moment's notice conveyed enough to Abhishek ki woh dost ke liye stand bilklul lete hain....lol ek toh I love what an intergenerational and intercultural friendship wala group this is😆
I also feel that they used Neena Gupta just right in both seasons - quality over quantity....all the characters work in harmony towards the larger storyline....Manju Devi speaks up when needed given the dynamics of how her position is set up....they will give her more prominence during the election track when she has a direct opponent to fight with I guess....lol the fact that even with less lines or SS, her character makes such an impact in both seasons is kudos to the writing as well as her acting.
