Never liked the movie, not as child not even now. I absolutely loathe the movie and hate the ending to the core.

Very non-PC movie. It would have been thrashed had it released today. There was a trend in the 00s where a doormat wife pining for her cheating ass Pati parmeshwar was lapped up. Glad the moronic era is somewhat over in movies now.
