Ameesha is my underrated favorite. Wish her career had progressed more but she'll always have this classic as her debut.

I love this song but I remember a few years back when this movie was on Netflix, this song was mysteriously missing.

She was my fav too and wanted her to do well. Then I found many didn’t like her or made fun of her to call her cherry here. That was shocking. She’s beautiful looking in cute way. I loved her and HR chemistry. I liked their chemistry the most of all other hr parings. They are so underrated.

Besides being called Cherry, her asthmatic crying has also been a popular joke here with that gif posted in many threads. I'm sure it will be posted here too.

She had a great pairing with Hrithik. Her movie with Salman was not too great but she worked well with him too. I always wished she and Shahrukh had done one movie together but the closest we ever got to them onscreen was her cameo in Om Shanti Om.

Yeah I have seen that asthma type of gif here many times. Tbh I laughed too when I saw that at first in one of her and HR’s movie because I didn’t know at the time such crying was real. But I have realized over the years some can cry that way when they are not able to be breath. It has started to happen to me too many times when one is crying way too much. The breath gets stuck and one sometimes feel like can’t breath. So I just feel may be she irl cries that way and acted that way it or the director told her that way. Whatever may be since that type of crying is real and exists, IMO it shouldn’t be made fun of.

I wish she had survived long and had gotten more success. Unfortunately nepotism and her own choices prevented that.

I always sing this song to my mum when she’s ignoring me. 😊

Apparently the movie cut out any mention of her having asthma (and when I saw it, I never caught a reference to it either) so many audience members thought that scene and her performance in general were over-the-top. Tbh, based on how sheltered and childlike her character is, especially at the beginning of the movie, I was under the impression that her character was developmentally disabled.

I think she caught a bad break between the legal issues she had with her parents and then the love life she had. Unlike other stars, she had no family background in the industry so she was completely alone. She came across as very articulate and intelligent in her early interviews, but unfortunately I don't find that as noticeable a quality in her public appearances now which seem very self-promotional.

I liked her. She was cute and beautiful. I especially loved her chemistry with Aftab. They did a movie together (which wasn’t very good but I enjoyed it).

The movie was Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai. They're both college students and he's in love with her but throughout the whole movie she has to explain to him that she's too focused on her studies and doesn't believe in love or relationships. It gets very repetitive and unrealistic, until the end when she out of the blue decides she is in love with him but this time he rejects her.
