I agree with every word above. She has miles to go before she takes that esteemed place on the jury. I take two issues to her response; first she made light of the situation and second, she belittled all the jury members.

That was pretty basic question and she should have done her homework so that she doesn't sound undeserving of that responsibility.

DP was a never a good speaker. She even struggles with movie promotions and press conferences but still it is a lot better than her Cannes appearance. She speaks in a "matter of fact" style which lacks conviction and comes across as inauthentic.

I suppose she got flustered at Cannes in the presence of HW/western audience. This is a major issue for a lot of stars. They attempt to please the Western audience by pandering to their quips and losing identity in their own self or would over praise BW and India to such an extent that it's off putting. DP is sadly, a combination of both.

The only actor who holds his own is SRK.
