exactly this song yaara yaara ,, which is more enjoyable because of udit presence, Babul supriyo was odd choice for chanda chamke in Faana ,

I don't understand why Udit Narayan is singling out Aamir Khan. Some facts:

1. Udit Narayan's popularity started to drop heavily post 2005. There was a wave of new vocal talent and he was sidelined by the producers.

2. Aamir Khan does very very few and select films. Especially after Lagaan in 2001.

3. The trend of the last almost decade now is not to lip-sync like they did before. So there's no need to "match" the playback voice to the hero.

4. I don't think Udit has sung for SRK since Don (2006) - I wonder if he's complained about him?

I love Udit's voice and miss him but he might want to consider that it might be ageism working against him and his peers in the industry rather than an individual star's vendetta against him. Unless, he has heard from a reliable source that Aamir rejected him behind the scenes.

"Chanda Chamke" is such a lovely song, Mahalaxmi Iyer sounds so beautiful on it (as well as on Des Rangila). Babul Supriyo (poor guy) he doesn't sound as good as Udit would have, but bless him, he's done not even 10% of Mr. Narayan's body of work, let the man earn his bread.

I just tried to re-create Udit's voice in my mind for the other Fanaa songs ☺️ - he sounded fantastic on "Chand Sifarish" - but... "Mere Haath Mein" needs to remain untouched as it was the most beautiful duet 😎

i think its what producer want to thrust on audience work, amir khan now himself is a film producer and now he control who is singing for him or not, he made sonu nigam sing for him in laal singh despite of the music banner T Series who banned Sonu during 2013 when sonu voiced out opinion against illegal contract singers were forced to sign and again during 2020 the tiff of sonu vs bhushan and divya khosla and now they are promoting sonu new song for laal singh in different teasers , its amir pressure on them to do,

Udit has been consistent for Amir Khan films till 2001 , and even in one interview Udit has shown his displeasure of not getting any song in Faana, he said it was the first time i was not used for Amir Khan film, for SRK he wasnt as consistent as for Amir, SRK share Abhijeet and Sonu, Shukhwinder too while Amir Khan was highly associated only with Udit till 2001 Laggan he was there in every Amir film, in 90s i guess the only film he was not used in was Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke 1993, and this Udit also told in his intervew
