Hey

I am making this because i was looking in search for article that mentioned something about what sooraj-ji did for salman in vivah like poster or something and i came across some really critical reviews on the film. The movie did well especially abroad but didnt win alot of awards which i guess is understandable since it was up against some big films that year and looking at the reviews wanted to know what you people think about it?? be nice to know.

Vivah stands out cuz noone expected it to be a superhit - it had no chartbusters, no dances, and a weak storyline, no big stars either. Shahid became a star after its release - not before.

although an unrealistic movie... i thoroughly enjoyed the movie.. i think that the movie was entertaining, romantic, funny and displayed the cultural background of India very well.. Although a bit outdated i didn't see that as an disadvantage for the movie.. to be honest.. that is what set it aside from the rest of the movies during thta time.. it's simplicity and easiness made it a enjoyable movie to see again and again!!

Of course.. the chemistry between Shahid and Amrita was sizzling HOT!!! in my opinion i dont think that anyone could have topped that jodi in the movie.. they attitudes, acting was top notch and suited them to the core!! really really watched it for them too..

To conclude.. Vivah was an excellent movie.. it was risky for Sooraj to make a movie of such delicate and idealistic matter.. however.. it paid off in the end!

Here's wishing that he does the same magic again by a good and healthy script and reuniting the jodi of Amrita and Shahid..

So true because it was so simple and music was not 'westernised' that it is suprising that it did well..i remeber watching shubh vivah and on there sooraj-ji was saying people told him its not going to do well and it did especially abroad guess people wanted to see that 😊

Yeh it was beacuse its simpleness and message it portrayed that made it enjoyable..i dont think it was outdated though arranged marriages still happen right in that style what i have seen anyways😕even not as much

Of course.. the chemistry between Shahid and Amrita was sizzling HOT!!! in my opinion i dont think that anyone could have topped that jodi in the movie.. they attitudes, acting was top notch and suited them to the core!! really really watched it for them too.. yeh they did really well and suited the role to the t could not imagine anyone else in that roles

To conclude.. Vivah was an excellent movie.. it was risky for Sooraj to make a movie of such delicate and idealistic matter.. however.. it paid off in the end! yep and i am glad it paided off it was a different and beautiful film that deserved to do well says alot about the maker i think😳

Here's wishing that he does the same magic again by a good and healthy script and reuniting the jodi of Amrita and Shahid.. me too hope rumour of that movie comes true

yea...well i do enjoy family movies (k3g for example) but it has to have "probelms" in it lol u know what i mean... i loved k3g cuz it got to me and i did have reactions when watching it (laughing, crying😆, etc)... when i watched vivah, i just sat through it with a dull face... there was ntn that made me cry or laugh or anything... it seemed like it had no formula... but thats just my opinion... others obviously wouldnt agree...

Hmm......I luvd the muvie...!

People are calling it backward.......Hmm.......Only in the sense that poonam was toooo shy...A bit too shy...But i think that was the essence of the film....In today's world Who sacrifices their life for a cousin ,why cousin even for a real sister in todays world....She had no need to go into that burning building....!

There i think, the strength of the character came out......Shy..Protected...But still the character had an untold strength...!

And moreover the actors visited mathura to observe the people living there....That kind of hindi language and those values are still preserved in that place...That wats they saw there...!!Sooraj-ji did a thorough research..!

The story is a real life incident.....Its not make-believe stuff u are seeing....This actually happened to someone....How nice that guy mustve been....Shahid simply playing that character melted our hearts...Imagine such a person exists who actually accepted the girl in that condition...And Kangana Ranaut related the film to her sister's real life story after watching it !!

Another thing.... In India, still 80% of the people go in for arranged marriages.....Even with all these live-ins and stuff.......Arranged marriages happen......Infact Vivah showed a courtship period....Most people dont even have that much leverage of a long courtship period....So i dont think it was sooo regressive as it was made out to be...! 😊

Challenge to the actors......Minimalistic dialogues to the lead pair....Amrita is there in the film for like 2:30 hours out of 3 hrs....Still she has the least dialogues....But her acting saw her through....Its difficult to convey through expressions...She did it 👏 👏 ....And soo did shahid........Boy...Was he adorable or what 😳 😳

And the chemistry between Shahid -Amrita 👏 ...Remarkable 👏 👏 ...Excellent 👏 👏 Just too good........I wonder why they arent working together after Vivah ...I soo wanna see them in a muvie together 😕

Lol...........I have too much free time on hand...........hehehehehehe!! Koi kaam nahi hai......So im writing anything😆😆
