Arpita / Sundar FF: Dream Country

I am frustrated with how they are taking the Arpita / Sundar equation forward. So I wrote a tweet thread — essentially my own version of their love story. You can read it here :)

There was so much potential in the Sundar-Arpita track, especially with Imlie having parallels with both Sundar and Arpita, but nothing was explored prior to AryLie marriage.

Even if they don't utilize the parallels, there is so much left to be desired in this angle of the story. My biggest point of annoyance and disinterest in this couple's story from the start was the fact that there is no solid reason for Arpita to fall for Sundar – I mean, on the one hand, there was Arvind who was smart, successful, super dependable and Arpita still is in love with him. On the other hand, we have Sundar, who's just a happy man, content with his life, without any big dreams – none of this is wrong, but what then about him interests Arpita enough to move on from Arvind?

I get it that they need Imlie to do the matchmaking here, but the CVs atleast need to do some groundwork for Imlie to base her matchmaking on.

I love how crisp this fic is and yet wholesome! <3 Wish we get to see atleast half of this in their actual story. :)
