Imlie - Her take in Arpita's matter

What if the rishta for Arpita was from a genuine good guy? Would imlie be happy with getting Arpita hitched to the guy or not because the guy is not Sundar? Sundar has no spine to stand up for himself, then how will he protect Arpita? Is imlie expecting Arpita to get married to a househelp at Tripathi house and stay there to help him by doing household chores? If Sundar loves Arpita so much can't he secure himself a job as chef or something at a restaurant ? If he cannot the he should not dream about Arpita at all. Just because Sundar loves Arpita and he is imli's friend she was trying to get them together for so called love. I agree they could have become a couple if they were madly in love, but here it's like imli is persuading Arpita to go ahead. Eventhough Arpita feels something for Sundar it's not strong from her side. Imli broke ties with her mother because she forced her to marry Aryan. Now she is egging Arpita to not listen to her family. If Sundar chaos was not caused maybe the Rathores would have taken some time to fix rishta. But because of imli not speaking to Aryan it's making things worse. What is imli expecting that Aryan will take Sundar under his wings once marriage is done?or is she planning to make Arpita a househelp? Sundar has no place of his own as of now then what basic needs can be met of his wife? Imli is not like that she always wants to fly and achieve her dreams irrespective of her status. She can stand on her own and be independent. Can Sundar do that? So imli is wrong to think to get them hitched without asking Sundar to improve his livelihood first.

true.. all the while imlie is selfish for Sundar.. only to justify it they have Uday😵.. Aryan n narmada could've found a suitable groom for Arpita, then imlie would not have got any chance to push sundar, unless Arpita herself wants to..

Sundar can't become a chef as he is not educated.. so only two options, either Arpita stays at Ts servant quarters or sundar becomes rich by marrying Arpita, either way according to imlie Arpita will get loved by her husband as she thinks probably a guy of higher status will not love a widow *her/cvs' regressive thinking* and she is kinda doing emotional blackmailing on Arpita to accept her love for Sundar, not the guy picked by her family 😖

as Aryan said her priority looks to be sundar though she keeps telling herself she is doing it for arpi.. in arvind track too imlie was all about proving akt innocent and protect Ts from Aryan, then suddenly after Aryan's accident she started telling it to herself she is doing all that for aryan n his family only 😴 *conflict between heart n mind it seems where her heart is inclined towards Ts but mind wants to a saviour bahu of Rathores*

Imlie is a star eyed teenager who thinks love (even one sided) is enough to sustain a relationship...

We've seen that in her first relationship. She stuck despite everything, so i don't mind her harkatein w.r.t. sunder if only if only, it would ultimately lead to her learning from it rather than the narrative being used to give the audience Gyan though a tunnel vision 20 yo who can find love everywhere except in her own life 🤦

And for the record she did say that even if they do not consider sunder an eligible option, at least Uday wasn't a good option so, over time her priorities did change from sunder to arpi, only it was too late and all harm was done by BM

She is projecting her own insecurities on surpita... If sundar is not good enough for Arpita, how is she good for aryan.... So she has to match them

Also, like said above, she is starry eyed teenager who thinks love se zindagi chalti hai... Had she stayed married to akt with malini and the kid on the side, toh saara zindagi ka oopar neecha samajh aa jaata

She has gone through alot... But the truth is that since meeting aryan, he has shielded her from alot. 5000 mein mansion mein rehna, Easily getting job, easily making money, 5 crore loan chahiye - no problem, etcetera..

She thinks that a failed marriage has shown her the world but the truth is that aryan has been protecting her from the world for most parts

So she thinks bas love hai, sab changa si.

I don't think being uneducated is a road block for certain occupations like cooking or business...

And one can easily learn that.

no for becoming a chef one needs a degree in hotel mgnt hospitality or catering or something on that line..

but he can start his own restaurant..

Obviously If he's looking for an employment in any 5 star hotel he will need basic qualification if not more...

However there are a lot of options like food blogging, YouTube cooking channels etc apart from your own restaurant.

However one must have ambitions for that

Never thought I would write this, but here it goes. Not trying to undermine anyone's opinion

Why does Arpita need to be protected and provided for? Sundar has limited skill set and opportunites, Arpita has access to lot more, why can't/shouldn't she earn a job and help Sundar in running a family? It does happen in real-life. Sundar also doesn't seem to the type of guy who would be insecure if his wife earns more than him. If he turns out to be, that's a different story. My only problem with this couple is that they didn't have enough time to bond/fall in love, everything else is actually progressive compared with ITV standard of rich guy/poor girl. And Sundar can just be a cook/chef, that should be sufficient, he doesn't need to "prove" anything. Not everyone can strive to be a better version of themselves everyday, although it is ideal. Look at other characters in this serial only. I remember the times when Imlie was doing professionally better than Aditya and most people on the forum were happy for this progressive take, I didn't realize it has more to do with pairing Adilie/Arylie and less with genuine praise for power-shift in a marriage. I can't even believe I'm siding with Imlie now, my last-year self would die with embarrassment :P

I've said this in a different thread, this track is ruining Arylie for me. Be it the forum (or the show), the old days of blaming (or sad) Imlie for everything have come again with the post-marriage track. I don't even understand how/why Imlie fell for Aryan, as recent as marriage track, she was angry and fighting with him. Writers should've developed their bonding more before rushing into marriage and that 1km sindhoor :(

Exactly. Actual Makers knew when they took Arpita on board that they are going for Sundar-Arpita love angle.. they should have planned from bit earlier . Kuch toh dikhate growth Sundar ki.

Taking some part time job or some course to polish his skills
