Delhi Capitals (DC) were back to winning ways in the IPL 2022 after a convincing victory against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 9 wickets on Wednesday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Explosive knocks from openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw secured a comfortable victory for the team with over 9 overs to spare after a complete effort from the DC bowlers restricted PBKS to 115.

Among the DC bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Khaleel Ahmed, and Lalit Yadav scalped two wickets each.

Jos Buttler has been in incredible form, and he hit his first century of the season.

He would need support from another opener Devdutt Padikkal who has failed to convert his starts. Sanju Samson did well in the last game, and he will need to build partnerships with Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag in the game against Delhi.

Down the order, Karun Nair and Ravichandran Ashwin aren’t the best hitters of the ball and the side would like to see them make contributions.

Bowling has been a problem for the Rajasthan side in the last two games and they would need a good start from pacers Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna.

Ravichandran Ashwin hasn’t been at his best and the side would like to see him make use of his experience along with Chahal who has had a good season.

Obed McCoy needs to do well here and justify his selection on the side.

Rajasthan Royals: Defending 218 against KKR in their last game, the Royals nearly made a mess of it.

A splendid 17th over from Chahal, however, turned the tables and helped Rajasthan leap to the third spot. Like their opponents today, the Royals too are slightly short on batting depth but with both leading run-scorer and leading wicket-taker in their side, the team in pink are unlikely to tinker with their playing eleven.

Delhi Capitals: Despite losing Mitchell Marsh - due to Covid - in the last game, the Capitals put up their best performance of the season, claiming a thumping 9-wicket win over Punjab Kings while at it.

They might appear relatively short on batting depth, but the form of David Warner and Kuldeep Yadav have helped them clinch key moments so far.

There's no reason for them to change the winning combination.

Sanket: "It's incredible to see how DC is putting such great performance despite so much happening around them, Nortje who they retained over rabada was injured, they showed lot of faith in Mitch marsh and Powel where one was firstly injured and then caught covid, second one hasn't proved single thing. Warner wasn't available for first 3 games and now last few days has been even worse but still they are here fighting."
