Bridgerton is fun with a capital F lol. Plus I love that both Pen and Eloise get their own plots and it's not all about the pretty girls and boys (although I do think they are both objectively pretty).

I know. I am not ashamed to admit I was looking forward to watch Bridgerton and I enjoy watching it. I am too exhausted of heavy stuff and that is one of the reasons I started yrkkh season 3 and it end up becoming the worst decision ever. It was not fun. It was horrible and disgusting.

I really like the actress who plays Penelope. There is this show Derry Girls. It has only two seasons. It was a about a bunch of teenage girls and a boy in the quaint littel northern Ireland town where they have clashes between the Irish and the English. The parents felt so much like Indian parents. It was a really fun show. Check it out. It is just 20 minutes per episode.

About Bridgerton, I like how it is not preachy but do make a point through representation and criticism the polite London society. 😆

It's on my watchlist. I might have to wait till I actually finish all my damn coursework before adding another show lol!

Right, and they don't make a big deal about the representation. It's all very matter of fact but it's been criticized by 'fans' and the media...

Yeah. I saw it. But I honestly think it is just Shondaland trademark. They make shows the way they want without causing harm which is okay I guess.

Nope. I haven't. But heard only good things about Scandal.

Nope. I also felt it with a lot of their clothes and jwellery. Even the prints on some of their dresses felt very Indian. And the stoles Kate carries once in a while also felt very Indian.

It's also very bingeable - some of it is a bit ott and silly and requires suspension of disbelief but there's something very cool about the idea that the most powerful hidden figure in America is a young highly educated Black woman and Kerry Washington plays her to the hilt. Again, the representation is done very matter of factly and doesn't play to stereotypes. Also great side characters, and the plotting in the first three seasons at least is very tight.

What Episode are you on @Intoxicator?

Just halfway through episode 2. I'm working on a term paper on the side too so watching a bit slowly😒
