I agree. Aryan's main motive is to force her back onto her own feet so she can focus on her job and future.
As for love, he definitely acknowledges internally that he has feelings for her....even he says so in the last epi when she accuses him of feeling nothing for her.....as to what those feelings are, he leaves them undefined because he is mature enough to see that Imlie is in no state to understand another relationship....also he is shit scared of feelings and chooses to ignore his own emotional needs so that he can help her see the reality.....Aryan is masochistic and needs therapy but being the only man of the house, he has taken up all practical responsibilities so that the women of the house can feel secure. Doing so has taught him practicality but stolen his ability to feel he can depend on anyone else or feel vulnerable before a loved one. He has no problem accepting pain from her as long as his goal is accomplished which means he is ready to sacrifice his emotional health for a practical solution to her issues.
Also, I think he sees Imlie as a victim of AKT, just like his jiju was....and his trauma is forcing him to try so damn hard to "rescue" her since he couldnt save his own jiju...hence the crossing of limits to save her from herself.
He needs therapy just as much as she does. He just hides his problem better since the world runs on practicality. She cant hide her issues because she runs on all emotions.

Bold exactly my thoughts about about current forcing part of aryan.. and he saw the tears the vulnerability of her ... he wants her to breakfree..
Sometimes the fact that he can't accept his feelings subconsciously might be due to her age too .. he sees her as a 20 yr old whose life is full of colourz...but this madam meri life apne ke naam kurbaan rant...n thus pisses him off and making him akadbaggha again
The only piece missing here is some situations not necessarily including aryan that make imlie realize that her worth n growth is more than the T party... the situations we had during adini was so perfect to make her realize that she deserved better...
Both need therapies ... imlie a little more ...
I don't know why but todays episode just irritated me... Maybe bec it was another day, another outfit and same story... There has been zero progression in either of them since holi that maybe the other person has a point.. I pretty much fast forwarded the entire episode
Have given up on having any hope from imilie. But i can't now defend aryan anymore too. And he is the sole reason why I started to watch the show.
Infact the nakli shaadi original idea would have been super entertaining instead of this. We would have had the cute nok-jhoks like the first night episode rather than this.
I don't know what the instructions to sumbul are, but the way she is enacting it- imlie is not just hurt or angry with Aryan but its like he disgusts her. Jaise usko dekhkar hi usse ghinn aati hai. And that just sinks my shipper heart.
I'm going to take a break from the show atleast till the wedding is done or cancelled. Will stick to occasional updates... A show should entertain and not frustrate, at least not for long. And this shaadi business has gone on for wayyy too long.
I'm just going to enjoy some excellent fanfics to make up for this shi*** writing
I think some reel or update is due from ST or FK side as to do some damage control and to make us drool again in arylie or sumaan...may be they may come live or a reel as arifs bomb already exploded...
And it's weekend

Exactly! He has always seen her as a victim and hence his to protect from the claws of Aditya and his family. It also is a problem that he is such a practical person that he sees the world differently. Because she runs on emotions, she thinks of him as cold and heartless. This is in some sense an age old argument because those who thrive on reason and logic and those who thrive on emotions. We need to meet somewhere in the middle and have a healthy balance. At this point, neither have a good grasp or reason or emotions.
thanks! I wrote a lot gyaan on how we can learn some real world stuff but decided to put it another post. for those interested, please see it here.
P.S -- I wanted to tag but the names wouldn't show up.
Remember aryan telling her ki what do u think u r waiting for someone will come and take yr hand gives u love in that rain scene and tells her to get up and take control of ur life ... that kind of gyaan she needs right now which again everyone is giving she is turning deaf ear to all of this

I am confused, frustrated, tired, exhausted.
Confused with both Imlu and Aryan, what is their real purpose behind the challenges. Both of them wants to win. Fine for me. What is the reward of winning this challenge(of stopping marriage for Imlie and getting married for Aryan). Is the reward for Imlie is #Saving ex-BS and Ts or #SavingImlieFromForcedMarriage?if it is #Saving ex-BS, she should get married to Aryan, otherwise Aryan will go to any extent to get his revenge. She should have known that by this time. Aryan is not a silly player to play with the support of only one video against AKT. If her reward is #SavingImlieFromForcedMarriage, say NO to Aryan and back out. Let AKT and Ts fight for themselves. Imlie should make clear to herself atleast what she is playing this challenge game. Coming to Aryan, what reward he wants by getting married. Is it that he wants #ImlieToRealiseHerSelfRespect or #ImlieAryanSinghRathod. He is confusing me when he says he wants all rasams and a real marriage. Has the Ashiq Singh Rathod overpowering Shrewd Businessman Singh Rathod. Atleast give some monologues to clear our confusion

So I am in the opposite camp where I am enjoying all this madness! 😂
I think it is because one, I see this arc as necessary part of conflict. Every story needs some conflict to keep it going. Otherwise, there is no story. As someone who gobbled up hundreds of romance novels at one stage, this arc is very normal. There is always miscommunications, anger, petty one upmanship. It all depends on the characters and the situation but it is found in every book. It is also necessary because it deepens the relationship. You know what happens when there is no real conflict to a romance novel? It just falls flat. Rather than you feeling that these two characters love each other, it instead feels like baseless romance fueled by lust, phermones and just situation -- you have the sense that given some time, it will collapse like a building without foundation. Whereas, the romances that hit you hard are the ones where there is a real storm, a wrangle and the two characters come out better for it.
I also think that this phase can be a great way to learn about conflict management and communication styles in the real world. There is so much to unpack about how we deal with grief, vulnerability, arguing and how that improves or worsens relationships.
So I understand why some hate it but I think if we fastforward and get to them being lovey dovey without any conflicts, I would puke because it wouldn't feel real. It wouldn't be Arylie for me!
Since I am highly disappointed with this track and don't want to discuss this show. Anyone interested in discussing kdramas or BL with me on another chat club or something??
