Hahahaha but I read what you wrote and I agree with you, there was such a shift in tone from the haldi/chuckle scene to the color scene, it indeed felt jarring to me.

I think it was ultimately an execution failure from the show 😅 they intended for it to be a both an emotionally charged as well as a sensual scene, shot and presented it as such, and that's how it did come out. I think where they faltered was by creating an unintentionally uncomfortable narrative around it, making it feel disjointed and weird.

I also don't think you said anything objectionable! We're just engaging in healthy discourse here, and are all sorted enough to agree to disagree if we have different interpretations 🤷🏻‍♀️

Agree. In fact, this is something I have observed in many shows (& movies) esp with inebriated scenes. For us , it was what max 5 to 10 minutes of scenes. But if you consider the amount of minutes/hours they put into making those 5 to 10 min, slip up happens. Referring to the point you made earlier "They sounded sober". To stay in character all through out the sequence. Here, I have to commend FK..he looked more drunk than Imlie...I wonder what if Imlie had that playful expression (with that cute pout) like the one she had in the prev episode and then he goes ahead and colours her..would it have been better? Imlie looked serious..I mean just like she is nowadays..and that's why to me it felt forced.

One consents in a state of complete sobriety or doesn't.

Everyone has a right to their opinion mate, we are all not always going to agree on everything and we all have different ways of interpreting scenes.

Personally, I'm just waiting for the next episode before I voice my opinions on this matter. I just keep reminding myself I'm watching ITV and to keep my expectations very low.

Par writers to gum hai Imli ko ei sab karane me kaahe ki bandi ke life me koi 80% attendence ka jhanjhat nehi hai clg se. So so soke mahendi laga rahi bina design ko chot pohuche.

Mai khush hoti agar sird Aryan ka hi mahendi rehta par naahi larki ke upar rang to charna hi hoga upar se intricate designs🤪
