She is treating all this as if it is some game or war of wits but it is her life and future that is hanging in balance and she seems to be oblivious to that. So what are her options apart from this if she manages to distance herself from Rathores - she has no job, no place to stay, no future. She can either go back to her village like a loser or stay as glorified maid/nanny with Tripathis. I am curious what exactly is her plan.

He is very well aware that Imlie is not completely averse to him despite saying all those hurtful things. She kept needling him until he took on the challenge. She did not purposely go and get color on her though she could have done that. She chose to remain colorless and sulked as if waiting for him to win.

From my perspective she is socially conditioned , she is confused, she is scared and she does not know what she wants or believes. She would rather believe that Aryan dragged her to altar while she martyred herself to save Tripathis rather than accept that she was selfish enough to choose herself for once over Tripathis or that she might have build a bond with Aryan that she is not willing to let go and she might not be completely averse to this wedding because she trusts and depends on Aryan. She is like a hurt lioness with her claws out.

The thing is, she already chose herself. During her monologue the night of the fake wedding, she said that she now wants to focus on herself, her career, and her family. She wants neither Aditya nor Aryan. She wants no man for that matter. As for her considering the Tripathis family, we are in no position to say who anyone should consider their family or how they should decide who should/should not be a part of their idea of ‘family’. Imlie considers both the Tripathis and the Rathores as much family as she does Amma and Dadda. It is intrinsically her to put herself on the line for the people she considers family. We’ve seen her impartially do that not only for the Tripathis, but for the Rathores and Aryan even. Unfortunately, it is Aryan’s misconception and presumption of Imlie’s objective (i.e. she’ll take Aditya back) that’s causing this whole drama. Neither is he clarifying his intent, nor is he asking her what her true intent is. So this is what is happening right now: He is forcing her to misunderstand him by not giving her the choice to understand him.

mera sar chakraoing thinking it🤪

She must be excited for the dark stain it left . Meethi is unbiasedly sided with Aryan Babu. According to her ,he will always love and protect her. And she knows how crazy her daughter is .let's just say think it's lovers tiff 😆

Even if we consider that he wasn’t the one to do the actual application and presuming that he did merely orchestrate it, it would still be quite alarming. I love the idea of AryLie getting married, but I’m concerned about the events in the meantime (i.e. this, and him applying colour on her during Holi).

Same, holi especially was very uncomfortable to me because forget consenting, she was pretty explicitly denying consent. Also like you, this mehndi thing is off putting. Whether it was him or anyone else he asked, there's a violation of bodily autonomy that's just not cool.

TBH I think the writers just haven't realized how far they're pushing these stupid ritual challenges, more than Aryan invading her personal space it's coming across as the show's narrative not even acknowledging that an invasion of personal space is happening. It's gone so far into uncomfortable territory now 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mehndi is soooo cold when it goes on and dries and then literally has to be scraped off once it's dried and done. No drug is powerful enough, apart from TV writers ka sasta nasha.

someone (meethi) might look at her clear hands while sleeping & think she'll cry when she wakes up & decides to do it again with some organic mehendi which does the magic.

Now if she does this by herself or Aryan will ask Meethi to is to be seen.

Vaise aparna/rupi bhi karsakti hai

I think it is aparna 🤣

Precisely. So many people got that scene and sequence so wrong. If the scene was truly about her starting to feel an attraction (physical) towards Aryan, that would have been shown/reflected in her demeanour in the next scene where they come together for the Mehndi. People are confused about why Imlie’s back to “hating on” Aryan after “feeling attracted” to him, when they’ve misinterpreted the situation.

see guys i can help you with holi scene...

no one consents to coloring until they are colored

"bura na maano holi hai"

the intent that matters here,

i know its not good to abuse the festival like that

and i concede that the calculation part was a bit off

but other that the challenge and coloring is part of holi spirit with family.

idk if it makes sense... thoughts?

lets wait for tomorrow to conclude on mehendi

So it was definitely a very charged scene IMO, and frankly Imlie isn't 'hating on' him as much as she claims to. She's frustrated and confused by his mixed signals and refusal to communicate which is all coming out as "UGH I HATE YOU" but also all that hate drains out of her soooo damn fast in every confrontation and she lands up at "please just tell me what you're doing and why" space, that's not hatred.

Also, she can be attracted to him and still despise what he's doing to her. Those two are mutually exclusive.
