The issue is it becomes uncomfortable due to the way it's framed- which is why I'm more put off by the show's narrative around the challenge rather than Aryan's act specifically. The act itself would have worked fine for me had they not framed it in such a calculating manner. So the issue is with the larger writing, they're not writing Aryan to intrude on her space, they're not even realizing that they're inadvertently causing that.

To borrow a word from the Gul Khan Cinematic Universe, it's just all very michmichi inducing right now.

The challenge, so to say, was set by a sober and completed by an inebriated Aryan to an inebriated Imlie.

Inebriated people cannot consent one way or the other? Both the parties couldn't have been in their right mind to begin with.

This scene would have meant completely different things had they been sober.

I believe they were both sober enough by the time Imlie saw his wounds. There was a difference in their manner of speech and behaviour prior to and after that point.

I believe they were both tipsy as a matter of fact, also goes on to explain the falshback later in same episode.

Don't get me wrong, that scene of him applying rang to his face is quite sexxy..even him applying it on her. But when you see the actual sequence, it was giving off shady vibes. That's why many are torn as to the reason of her single tear..is it cuz she lost the challenge vs overwhelmed with emotions. Obviously, different interpretations. For me, the beauty of the scene ended with her applying haldi and him chuckling about it. Him coloring her..that's a different day, different scene for me..and not part of the Holi episode
