What did we read..a student trying to immolate himself ..inciting similar protests across schools all over the country..stone pelters coming over to schools and throwing stones on windows, forcing schools to shut down..And us small kids huddled inside.

So when KPs were battling for their lives and surviving in refugee camps, the future of the nation was pelting stones...unaware of all this.

And didn't know for years..came to know only once we grew up a bit and came to know of a parents' colleague who went through the ordeal.

Knew about the exodus, but never imagined the extent of such suffering..what on earth would drive us towards reading the books or watching the documentaries when they were not even talked about. For us little ones Kashmir was this happy , pretty place where old bollywood movies were shot and Actors danced in the snow or in a Shikara on Dal lake..and then one day there came a movie like Roja that showed a different side to that Paradise..and everything that followed. I have been there as a kid..wish to see it again in its glory.

So I credit this movie for bringing the issue to light. For us it may be raw, but for new gen it's history from which they learn..

I feel for Hindus who were victims of genocide n kps who became refugees in their own motherland . I understand wat pain n wat not they might gone through . Words are not enough n can’t express in just words .

Ya nothing much shown in movie n truth started shaking d ecosystem . Ecosystem done conspiracies so many decades to oppress, suppress , hide truth n erase truth with their propaganda n lies . Truth prevails . Generations grew learning world history . It’s time to change education system n whole system . Indian history must be known along with world history n affairs for future generations . True indians in true sense who feel proud to be Indians n true love for motherland india . Ya credit to film for d awareness , start of d truth . It’s time to open Kashmir files , officially acknowledge Hindu genocide , stop trivializing by saying kps are just migrants , propaganda , lies . Kashmir name must be changed n must get back it’s glory which is part of India . More Kashmir files films about Hindu genocide , kp exodus must be made in Hindi cinema .

Not true many muslims have seen the movie and have appreciated it, quite a few of my friends and colleagues have seen it.

Quite a number of Muslim lives were lost in the genocide too.

Actually many of the so called liberals who are Hindus are having a problem with it and are instigating muslims that the movie paints muslim in a black light.

This post was from this very forum, made by a Muslim and liked by 19 members, some of them who are liking the posts here whining about how no Muslim was supporting the movie. Goes to show how dishonest these people are!

They would rather side with their religion, than lend their support to the genocide victims.

See this. This is exactly what is wrong. Why do all of you have to be so extreme? How do you know that no Muslim has supported the movie? Have you talked to every one of them?

Kashmir Pandit exodus is a topic that should be talked about because it's an important aspect of our country. It's great that the movie was made about it and that it is receiving such support. But to use it to spread this sort of communal hatred stroking every Muslim with the same brush is what is problematic

If only all of us use some amount of our brains and not let these politicians use someone s tragedy to their advantage. If only

But then that s an ideal world. sigh.

Now we should learn from the movies to tell us what is the truth where for example facts like them being spies will probably not even be mention https://indiankanoon.org/doc/184744682/ and other facts... Crazy nonsense.. You need files, then get the real files from your gov office and websites..

Interesting! Liberals can't take it when people criticise Muslims, yet they don't think twice about barking "Hindu terrorists".

As I already mentioned here before, there are both rogue and genuine muslims. Genuine muslims intimated my grandparents to leave before predatory muslims get to them during the partition exodus. luckily, they were able to flee in time. So, while I believe the community is not entirely to blame, we must address the rogue ones.

Genuine muslims may have seen and appreciated the film, but is it sufficient? Liberals often question what the government has done; why can't people ask what the genuine one's in the muslim community have done for redemption for evil deeds of people of their community, and why don't they speak out with the zeal required to oppose the culprits and support the victims?

I dare you to show me one post where I have "barked" as you put it " Hindu terrorist". You will not find any because I never said anything of that sort

Secondly, do you think that a government that has been elected for the welfare of the civilians of this country and innocent people "redeeming" for crimes that they DID NOT COMMIT is the same thing? seriously? Do you know what redemption even means?

So there are no rouge Hindus, all are innocent & good and only Muslims have good & bad ones I would have not written this if had not seen the replies in this post.

Yes, what happened to the KP was horrific, now the issue is addressed what next. How will this help them going back to their home city. How will this help all the people of Kashmir both hindus and muslims. This is government job to make sure all the issues are put in front through dialogue and work on them.
