yesterday episode was so thrilling, suspenseful and provided an edge of your seat kinda experience. I am so glad to see they finally got their mojo back.
the cat and mouse chase were pretty well executed. Karishma and anubhav after haseena, haseena after Bakshi and anubhav; it was a good chase. I seriously don't think this is the real anubhav. the timing of Bakshi coming back and leaving is too much of a coincidence to be brushed off. and he was more concerned about missing a flight than an item of national security? maybe he isn't working with this fake anubhav but he is definitely hiding something. so whether or not haseena is/was walking into a trap is something I look forward to seeing.
speaking of which, oof the hurt, pain, confusion haseena was feeling were so nicely portrayed as she walked alone in a crowd with colours being thrown around- symbolising how all these lies of different degrees, deceptions and this facade (different colours) has mange to isolate her and possibly foreshadow how she has to get out of this mess herself/have the ultimate strike to end this one and for all/MPT members not trusting her later on (everything else being blurred and the camera focused on haseena). yet with no colour staining her uniform, it shows how her country is always above all and that she won't let anything happen to it even if she had to do it alone. as the camera rises from a semi low angle shot to a medium shot, haseena rises above the heartbreak weighing her down to think of the betterment of the country. she held her head up and walked forward exiting the frame once again symbolising how she won't cower in the face of adversity and continue serving the country with no regrets. this emotion was well followed through with the next scene where SHO haseena's first instinct was to safeguard the Pendrive containing the list of agents in it.
I also love the moral dilemma at play here - save the mother who has given birth, raised, loved and cared for you your entire life or save the country which has shaped the very principles you stand for and have sworn to protect with your blood, sweat and tears. not to mention potentially risking the lives of your countrymen (secret agents). I was lowkey anticipating her father to appear in the shadows once more to guide her.
I do agree that she should have been a little more rational - not revealing that she knows what anubhav did, puncturing his car instead of Karishma's bike, informing MPT of her truth because at this point I cannot make excuses for that anymore. BUT the raw heartbreak and pain of being betrayed were so fresh for her to make the finest decisions plus being tight on time. so I can somewhat understand it or if not sympathise with her predicament.
Karishma is finally back in her bhukaal mode and I cannot wait to get more of it! girl is going to be so broken. Just anubhav shouting was enough for her mind to go blank for a moment. imagine what's gonna happen when maddam sir's truth comes out.
about the cheetah Santosh scenes; as much as I love my masoom parindey, they did seem forced and random. the juxtaposition between their scenes and the mission scenes were a bit jarring. i assumed that they were there to keep the whole of MPT relevant as well as make sure they were doing something (and not disappear like other characters have in the past). if we look at it in terms of storyline, the mission was at centre stage. By right, everyone should be involved. but since cheetoshpa didn't know what was going on they couldn't have them do anything useful other than tracking urmilla's location without dedicating time to show a scene where Karishma explained the hard disc/Pendrive fiasco. now I do wonder how much do they know and how much they don't know.
but overall, I am satisfied with the episode.
