fist of all, I love how you always help me think deeper into the characters, conflicts and the different perspectives. so thank you for that!
I feel honored that you think so because I've always been smitten by your analysis.
Before saying anything about the episode, I want to thank the actors for playing their part so well. Rahil-Gulki-Yukti stole the episode today.
agreed! a hundred per cent, this episode belongs to them.
I'm sorry if I'm hurting anyone here but sometimes Pushpa Ji and Cheetah really piss me off. Time and again they have shown how careless they are.
I love their funny scenes but this really wasn't really the time and place for it. the pen drive is in the supposed wrong hands and Noor Jahan is in possible danger. they seriously needed to get it together. so here, I totally agree with you.
I hate when Cheetah starts with his Santu rant even during serious situations. That's not cute! And it's not first time. Sometimes I feel it's better they both never get together because love should bring out best version of you but with Cheetah, it's definitely not the case.
they are my comfort ship but I really cannot stand it when it comes at the price of their duty. dude, she doesn't care about anything else right now. making sure noor jahan is safe and urmilla is caught is what she and the other two should be focused on. i felt genuinely irritated with those scenes today- omg that's a first.
Santu has really come a long way 👏
And it's better if I do not talk about Pushpa Ji. There have been many instances when she has been careless about responsibility she had and worst part is she never learns from it.
remember the mummy case? i got deja vu. why in the world would they back face the house and let two suspicious people go like that.
What if Urmi would have entered the house when they were facing their back towards the house 🤦♀️
We never saw Santu doing this. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Sometimes I feel Billu can be trusted more than Pushpa Ji and Cheetah.
I have to admit, billu can be relied on. sure, maybe it takes a hot minute but he does get the job done.
Coming to the main sequence of today, a big thanks to Karishma for destroying that pen drive. At least the root of all the problems has finally been destroyed.
i was dancing in my chair XD. like wow, finally someone used their brains instead of getting swayed by the heart.
Pendrive hi manhus tha 🤣
It hurts to think what Karishma faced today. Once the mask was off, the man standing in front of her was not her brother or her hero, he was traitor who has been playing with her all along. The girl was so confused. She couldn’t understand who was right and who was not. Her dilemma was so strong that she even didn't care that her Maddam Sir is alive. When she saw behind Anubhav's facade, she couldn't believe what she saw. But still she didn't take even the minutes to understand everything, gathered herself and destroyed the pendrive. Can anyone really be so passionate about her duty. It was her brother but that's couldn't shake the patriot within her. Her eyes showed the pain of betrayal when Anubhav tried to kill her. Her Anu bhaiya was never a hero. She connected the dots. The harsh truth was infront of her and then suddenly world around her turned dark. Only if she knew when she wakes up, everything around her be destroyed completely. Her brother would be no more! How will she ever overcome his pain?
my heart broke for her. the look on her face was so...gut-wrenching. she was gutted like there was a lump in her throat - stopping any and all speech afraid that her voice would betray her. but her eyes spoke of the confusion, shock, pain, betrayal, anxiety, hopelessness and the denial even that she was going through. it was almost as if her brain paused while she made new synapses- connections would give her visceral sorrow. she found herself on a train whose destination wasn't a choice for her to make. her principals, the ones she learnt from her hero and brother, already made it for her- anu bhaiya is a traitor and he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. SI Karishma took over and she used her deduction skills to do the most logical thing, destroy the pen drive in order to safeguard the country. the patriot in her would be proud of herself but the sister, the sister in her may never recover from this. the friend in her may never recover from this betrayal. who can blame her? she has lost everything (maybe not literally everything but you get the point).
With Anubhav meeting such an end, she will really lose a part of her forever. You can never move on from death of your brother who has aways been there for you. She has always taken a pride in being his sister.
For the first time I wasn't upset with Haseena when she did not reveal truth to MPT and ran away to save Ammi and her country. Those people were behaving too dumb to understand the seriousness of the situation.
can't believe I am saying this but yes. she didn't have time to do so, I really cannot fault her over here.
but I respectfully disagree that they were being dumb. yes, they were being dumb before entering the house as I've spoken about above. when they entered and tried to stop urmilla, it was their orders from Karishma. they don't know this is the real haseena, to them this is another criminal who stole sensitive information and needed to be stopped. here they were being serious and understood the gravity of the situation. the fact that they got their rear ends handed to them is where I was disappointed. really speaks about their abilities in the field (ooc but still canon). but I also understand it had to happen to get the face-off between haseena, karishma and anubhav.
When I read my analysis again, I felt I've been too harsh oh Cheetah and Pushpa Ji. I was never upset with them for stopping Urmila as they were following orders. I was upset when even after entering into the house they were quarreling over who successfully broke the door or even they were trying to blame each other infront of Karishma. They didn't know what was at stake but they knew a pendrive with such sensitive informed in missing. But again Santu acted smart! She figured out Ammi is missing.
She ran away to Ammi only to see her at gunpoint. She knew Anubhav's truth but when she saw it from her eyes, she couldn't believe it. Was it the same man whom she loved and admired? The first question she asked him was why? How proudly did she say that he never cared about as well when safety of the country was in question then what changed. And his justifications made her burst into laughter, both at his lame excuse and her foolishness. But today she was no fool to fall for his words again. For her nothing comes above her duty, not even her mother. When her mother was at stake, her expressions showed her pain but her eyes clearly decided that she is in no mood to bow down to his demands.
this! I was like, you go, girl! show him whose boss. his words and actions were divergent until they became one, converged and purposeful. her thoughts were scattered in a blinding fog and yet she had this moment of clarity- sheer confidence that radiated from her stance, eyes and overall body language. she was not going to let him win; not after playing with her heart thrice in a row and definitely not after playing with the safety of the country, she lives for. I liked the way she laughed in his face, mocking him the same way he has ridiculed her emotions.
For those who feel sympathetic towards Anubhav for everything his father went through, I know he didn't deserve that but that can never justify his acts.
agreed.
And the last part when she held him at his gunpoint. Usually I facepalm myself when ITV leads start getting flashbacks in such situations but today I wanted Haseena to live that moment for few seconds of her life when the only man she ever loved was standing infront of her eyes for the last time.
they acted as additional fuel - not that she needed it- to pull the trigger. to relive those moments where she was experiencing bliss and to realise that it was all a lie was fantastic.
All she wanted was a fairy tale with him and that turned out be her worst nightmare.
Anubhav was right. She still loved him and love can never die within one day. Her hands were shivering but her mind was clear. Finally she shot him, avenging him for what he did to her country but somewhere Haseena within her broke forever. The scene where she shot him will haunt her forever. Take my bow Haseena Mallik because it takes courage and commitment towards your country like no other to do what you did.
my thought exactly! I dont know how any of the two will recover from this. today even I want to give her a bow.
And lastly coming to Anubhav. I didn't like Anuseena but today somewhere seeing a character like him meet such a end did hurt me. Was all this really a facade? When was the exact moment when the love he had for his country turned into such a grave hatred. Was he really never committed towards his duty? Did he never love Haseena even for once? Was all the care and pride he had in his sister fake? Call me delusional but a part of me still hopes for a better ending.
I found myself questioning which part of this entire facade was real. the initial love we saw, dedication towards his country, concern for Karishma, wanting to save the country from teh virus? which one of these instances was real?
I will agree with Anne here that I felt betrayed
