I have decided to follow in the footsteps of Sainath and not be a late lateef today XD.

okay, but I am kind of in two minds about the episode.

first of all, I am glad that the anuseena ship has once and for all sailed. I've got to hand it to rahil today, that was a solid performance. the way he was so cold, apathetic and unforgiving when talking to haseena and Noor Jahan, injecting Noor Jahan, then being sly when trying to manipulate Karishma to immediately switch into a raging bull, following through with taunting haseena's courage and finally the look of pure shock when he got shot. haseena once again proves that nothing comes above the country and that c grade movie dialogue 🤔. I admire the way she held herself together throughout the entire confrontation. yes, her hand shook but her determination did not.

also, I noticed the unintentional foreshadowing during the mission jeet training session. there was a scene where anubhav told haseena to shoot him. at that time as well he challenged how staunch a police officer she was. today, he did the same thing but instead of a police officer, he challenged the lover inside her. both times, she pulled the trigger - country above all, truly.

Karishma arriving on the scene and being so utterly confused but still making the right choice of destroying the chip was commendable. she does have the capabilities -quick thinking, keeping her priorities straight - of being a good cop. honestly, when she once again stood frozen, mind blank and confused as anubhav tried to strangle her, my heart broke for her. she put so much faith in her brother - "hamare bhaiya gaddar nahi hoo sakte". girl, I feel you. I also think she didn't have much of a reaction to any of the two revelations was because she was still processing. I know she is going to be so shattered later on when it finally sets in. I also noticed how she didn't talk directly to haseena once she realised that urmilla was indeed a decoy - foreshadowing of how they will have a complete communication breakdown after this? I am probably reading too much into this.

now let's address the elephant in the room (maybe it's just for me but I found it so weird)- cheetoshpa. almost everyone on this forum knows I love them, dare I say more than the rest of the characters but like Karishma, I am so so confused about what their whole sequence was meant to do. prove that they are truly incompetent or was it there for the laughs in which case, it wasn't funny? cheetah and Pushpa Ji looked so lost (not in the sense of grievance but genuinely unknowing of what to do). then santu Ji tells them to break the door and they are like okay let's do it. hain? I know santu has become a little like Karishma but why would they do that instead of going through the window of something. but nevermind, I will assume that there is no other way in. are you seriously telling me that they got owned 3 to 1? it pains me to say this but their involvement today just seemed irrelevant and inconvenient more than anything. where is the sense of responsibility - this goes out to cheetah especially. does he realise the gravity of the situation. even santu was annoyed today and I dont blame her.

not gonna lie, anubhav's explanation did make me believe that this was the real anubhav who pretend to be a patriot this whole time. whoever put forth this theory, congratulations!!

but I am going to hang onto minionite's theory for a bit. if Bakshi is indeed the real culprit then can we see the entire MPT involved instead of them running around like idiots and getting owned so easily? an actual mission where they all have a power walk, glances at each other, a nod and then walking off with a low angle shot as a show of dominance they have of their life? and some awesome fight scenes where we get ultimate teamgoals/familygoals? I am asking for too much, sorry. lalaj buri bhala hain. my bad.

I am also a bit shook that they used the same poem in the precap as I did in my FF XD. but, nothing major is going to happen cause from what I can tell, the bullet merely grazed haseena's temple. Karishma will lodge the final bullet in anubhav and serve poetic justice (haseena got shot three times and so will anubhav).

also, I may have missed this but how did haseena know where anubhav had taken ammi?

@ Bold: That scene destroyed me. Karishma looking so lost and confused. Who to listen to? Then the way she completely froze when Anubhav tried to strangle her. She couldn't believe her own Anu bhaiyya could be capable of such violence and she doesn't even know half of it yet. But more than that it was the way she didn't even try to save herself. She let Anubhav take her hostage and she didn't even stop him. I know she could, but she didn't. Maybe she believed that her Anu bhaiyya wouldn't hurt her.

@ Red: I just want to see Santosh, Cheetah, and Pushpa ji actually do something worthwhile. They are funny, but the sudden comic angle is too much.

I think this might be an unpopular opinion but this episode kind of frustrated me throughout.

Firstly, cheetah taking the whole thing so lightly was disappointing. Yea he doesn't know about what's actually at stake, but as an audience I was just annoyed as santu. 'You're on duty, do your work!' ditto. Our matured santu handled pushpaji and cheeta amazingly well. She really is a promising leader.

When anubhav started to justify himself as a traitor I was literally on the edge of my seat screaming Nooooo. I never even liked anubhav's character, but I truly felt shattered when he spoke of revenge and money. I thought I wouldn't care less or that I was prepared for any twist, but when the actual moment came I was furious. All his moments in the show flashed back to me and I personally felt betrayed. He actually had the audacity to say everything else was fake except his love, when an episode back he was adamant for her bloodshed. Loved HM's laugh about the 3rd grade dialogue, really, it sounded like a duplicate talking instead of a negotiation specialist. I am still desperately hoping its a duplicate, but the chances of that look very bleak.

When karishma was forced to decide between urmila and bhaiya, it really wasn't dramatic at all. KS handled it very very maturely, in fact maybe a bit too much for me to digest in the moment, because I was expecting atleast one spontaneous reaction/dialogue. But I don't think she had really processed HM and anubhav's allegations on each other, nor the reality of urmila being HM. That's probably why she asked the pendrive for herself and wanted to destroy it, as that was the most important thing to do for the nation, and nation comes first. Brilliant move, really the smartest idea anyone has had in this track.

After that though, I felt the action sequence was executed a bit poorly and haphazardly. Haseena's ammi suddenly became conscious within mins of the injection. Anubhav - karishma's fight scene fell flat, especially her dialogues at gunpoint and his reaction. Anubhav doesn't actually try to kill her (what does he even want at that point, since pendrive is gone and the reason was KS). But when he hits her on the side of the head, she's out for good. He then watches haseena get a gun and shoot his gun away. Okay...in hindsight I guess it's good enough for ITV, but they've done better in this show before.

Haseena's hesitance to shoot him was justified, but at the same time, frustrating because, damn woman how do/did you love him so much. Ultimately she did what was right, and hands down to her grit and patriotism. I felt Gulki/Haseena stole this and the last episode, the way she has reacted to the betrayal and stayed in control in such delicate moments.

Before saying anything about the episode, I want to thank the actors for playing their part so well. Rahil-Gulki-Yukti stole the episode today.

agreed! a hundred per cent, this episode belongs to them.

I'm sorry if I'm hurting anyone here but sometimes Pushpa Ji and Cheetah really piss me off. Time and again they have shown how careless they are.

I love their funny scenes but this really wasn't really the time and place for it. the pen drive is in the supposed wrong hands and Noor Jahan is in possible danger. they seriously needed to get it together. so here, I totally agree with you.

I hate when Cheetah starts with his Santu rant even during serious situations. That's not cute! And it's not first time. Sometimes I feel it's better they both never get together because love should bring out best version of you but with Cheetah, it's definitely not the case.

they are my comfort ship but I really cannot stand it when it comes at the price of their duty. dude, she doesn't care about anything else right now. making sure noor jahan is safe and urmilla is caught is what she and the other two should be focused on. i felt genuinely irritated with those scenes today- omg that's a first.

And it's better if I do not talk about Pushpa Ji. There have been many instances when she has been careless about responsibility she had and worst part is she never learns from it.

remember the mummy case? i got deja vu. why in the world would they back face the house and let two suspicious people go like that.

We never saw Santu doing this. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Sometimes I feel Billu can be trusted more than Pushpa Ji and Cheetah.

I have to admit, billu can be relied on. sure, maybe it takes a hot minute but he does get the job done.

Coming to the main sequence of today, a big thanks to Karishma for destroying that pen drive. At least the root of all the problems has finally been destroyed.

i was dancing in my chair XD. like wow, finally someone used their brains instead of getting swayed by the heart.

It hurts to think what Karishma faced today. Once the mask was off, the man standing in front of her was not her brother or her hero, he was traitor who has been playing with her all along. The girl was so confused. She couldn’t understand who was right and who was not. Her dilemma was so strong that she even didn't care that her Maddam Sir is alive. When she saw behind Anubhav's facade, she couldn't believe what she saw. But still she didn't take even the minutes to understand everything, gathered herself and destroyed the pendrive. Can anyone really be so passionate about her duty. It was her brother but that's couldn't shake the patriot within her. Her eyes showed the pain of betrayal when Anubhav tried to kill her. Her Anu bhaiya was never a hero. She connected the dots. The harsh truth was infront of her and then suddenly world around her turned dark. Only if she knew when she wakes up, everything around her be destroyed completely. Her brother would be no more! How will she ever overcome his pain?

my heart broke for her. the look on her face was so...gut-wrenching. she was gutted like there was a lump in her throat - stopping any and all speech afraid that her voice would betray her. but her eyes spoke of the confusion, shock, pain, betrayal, anxiety, hopelessness and the denial even that she was going through. it was almost as if her brain paused while she made new synapses- connections would give her visceral sorrow. she found herself on a train whose destination wasn't a choice for her to make. her principals, the ones she learnt from her hero and brother, already made it for her- anu bhaiya is a traitor and he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. SI Karishma took over and she used her deduction skills to do the most logical thing, destroy the pen drive in order to safeguard the country. the patriot in her would be proud of herself but the sister, the sister in her may never recover from this. the friend in her may never recover from this betrayal. who can blame her? she has lost everything (maybe not literally everything but you get the point).

For the first time I wasn't upset with Haseena when she did not reveal truth to MPT and ran away to save Ammi and her country. Those people were behaving too dumb to understand the seriousness of the situation.

can't believe I am saying this but yes. she didn't have time to do so, I really cannot fault her over here.

but I respectfully disagree that they were being dumb. yes, they were being dumb before entering the house as I've spoken about above. when they entered and tried to stop urmilla, it was their orders from Karishma. they don't know this is the real haseena, to them this is another criminal who stole sensitive information and needed to be stopped. here they were being serious and understood the gravity of the situation. the fact that they got their rear ends handed to them is where I was disappointed. really speaks about their abilities in the field (ooc but still canon). but I also understand it had to happen to get the face-off between haseena, karishma and anubhav.

She ran away to Ammi only to see her at gunpoint. She knew Anubhav's truth but when she saw it from her eyes, she couldn't believe it. Was it the same man whom she loved and admired? The first question she asked him was why? How proudly did she say that he never cared about as well when safety of the country was in question then what changed. And his justifications made her burst into laughter, both at his lame excuse and her foolishness. But today she was no fool to fall for his words again. For her nothing comes above her duty, not even her mother. When her mother was at stake, her expressions showed her pain but her eyes clearly decided that she is in no mood to bow down to his demands.

this! I was like, you go, girl! show him whose boss. his words and actions were divergent until they became one, converged and purposeful. her thoughts were scattered in a blinding fog and yet she had this moment of clarity- sheer confidence that radiated from her stance, eyes and overall body language. she was not going to let him win; not after playing with her heart thrice in a row and definitely not after playing with the safety of the country, she lives for. I liked the way she laughed in his face, mocking him the same way he has ridiculed her emotions.

For those who feel sympathetic towards Anubhav for everything his father went through, I know he didn't deserve that but that can never justify his acts.

agreed.

And the last part when she held him at his gunpoint. Usually I facepalm myself when ITV leads start getting flashbacks in such situations but today I wanted Haseena to live that moment for few seconds of her life when the only man she ever loved was standing infront of her eyes for the last time.

they acted as additional fuel - not that she needed it- to pull the trigger. to relive those moments where she was experiencing bliss and to realise that it was all a lie was fantastic.

Anubhav was right. She still loved him and love can never die within one day. Her hands were shivering but her mind was clear. Finally she shot him, avenging him for what he did to her country but somewhere Haseena within her broke forever. The scene where she shot him will haunt her forever. Take my bow Haseena Mallik because it takes courage and commitment towards your country like no other to do what you did.

my thought exactly! I dont know how any of the two will recover from this. today even I want to give her a bow.

And lastly coming to Anubhav. I didn't like Anuseena but today somewhere seeing a character like him meet such a end did hurt me. Was all this really a facade? When was the exact moment when the love he had for his country turned into such a grave hatred. Was he really never committed towards his duty? Did he never love Haseena even for once? Was all the care and pride he had in his sister fake? Call me delusional but a part of me still hopes for a better ending.

I found myself questioning which part of this entire facade was real. the initial love we saw, dedication towards his country, concern for Karishma, wanting to save the country from teh virus? which one of these instances was real?

replies in bold! also, I realised there were so many parallels here! well played writers, well played.

I'm happy that at least Anuseena got a closure for once. After today there will be no Anuseena

yep. at least now haseena will have a chance at truly moving on.

Rahil nailed it today. He was brilliant throughout the episode. Will surely miss him in the show

i may not miss him but rahil was spectacular today.

This show has always been about patriotism first. Comedy, romance, friendship and everything comes after that. Somewhere I knew Haseena's reaction would be close to this. She can never let her heartbreak overpower her rational thinking. She is a headstrong lady who has always been in command of herself. Her patriotism can never be questioned, no matter what life throws at her.

and that is one thing i appreciate about the show and haseena. they know what they want to be and do their best to achieve that. i expanded more on this in one of the other posts!

Both the times a lover was scared to press the trigger but an officer was never

oof, that was an interesting perspective. your right, both time the officer in her pulled the trigger looking him dead in the eye (no pun intended).

How can Karishma ever overcome this pain. He was her Anu Bhaiya. She trusted him over everyone. She could always proudly mention, "Humne jo bhi sikha, aapse hi sikha". Even after being reprimanded again and again, she would still call him 'Bhaiya' instead of addressing him as Sir. And what shocks me is Anubhav trying to kill Karishma. Didn't he mention he hates the country for destroying his family. Isn't Karishma his family? She is his own blood. I get he hated his country, I also get he faked his love to Haseena but how come he doesn't love Karishma? But I appreciate Karishma for joining all the dots together instantly and destroying the pendrive. Two people can share same blood and pain but still take different paths in life. Karishma Singh has always been an inspiring officer

100% with you on this. there is no way she can truly overcome this pain. move on and not let it hinder her daily functioning, sure she can do that. but how will she let it go, how will this pain go away, how will she look herself in the mirror every day? she may never and that is the consequence she has to live with. @bold, I am guessing cause she hindered his plan to leave the country and be rich. maybe he resents Karishma for not harbouring the same hatred he has for the country. he wants revenge from the country but she seeks peace and safety for it. he feels wronged and the fact that Karishma doesn't could possibly be a trigger for him.

yep, two people born in the same house and be given the same upbringing yet turn out to be totally different people with different moral compasses.

I already mentioned about this few minutes before so will skip it here

yup, replied in the other post too.

In previous episode, Anubhav asked Haseena to come to the address he is going to text her

ahhhhh. thanks for clarifying that!

yep! mentioned this in another post. when he started apologising again, i was like hain? bro not now. this isn't the time/place and lowkey with Pushpa Ji also. I expected her to be the mature one here. he does know what is at stake. well, maybe not fully but enough for it to be dealt with responsibly. santu giving them orders and handling the situation gave me such captain holt vibes.

replies in bold. i will respond to the rest later on. it's like five-thirty in the morning here! irrelevant information, I know. sorry. i am out!

yea broooo!! I was confused when she didn't try and defend herself but then I realised why. SI Karishma Singh could have gotten the upper hand in two seconds flat. but how will Karishma fight with her brother. how can she accept that the arms in which she found safety were the very reason for her life being at risk today? how can she believe that the person she has looked up to her entire life is capable of such heinous crimes? @underline. right?! girl really trusted him.

Love how this discussion has made me understand the gunpoint scene better. I was also quite confused in that moment, so I think I over-simplified it as a flaw (also maybe because I never felt connected to their brother-sister bond), but from the perspective of karishma's character, its a very valid reaction. Even those dialogues when she realized her bhaiya's true face, she looked more hurt and lost than anything else. Although she saw anubhav the traitor, her heart still refused to realize the extent to which her anu bhaiya could go in this madness.

Edit: all the analysis on this episode by everyone has been so on point and detailed. Someone said that how will karishma get over this as a sister and friend, how will haseena get over this as a lover. Truly, it will haunt them forever, and I think it will also haunt us too. All those questions of how to reflect on the anubhav we've seen so far - when was he true, when did he change, etc. I think the whole fandom is as chaotic and broken today as haseena and karishma were internally at the end. For better or worse, this episode has compelled the audience to come out and discuss/rant/whatever, but voice what they felt, because everyone felt something. Show's trending on twitter, like it was during haseena's death episode I think.

I've also been obsessing over this episode for hours now, and I need to really get my head out of this till Monday.

okay, but I am kind of in two minds about the episode.

first of all, I am glad that the anuseena ship has once and for all sailed.

(not proofread)

@bold; Good catch! I forgot about that mission Jeet training scene

@blue; yeah even I want this theory to be true....I don't think they brought back the actor who played bakshi to make a 10 second appearance...I guess there's more to the story ,also I want the doppleganger theory to be true so that Rahil sir won't leave the show...but after Anubhav's speech that seems unlikely
