Gungun's mother was suppose to be a very pivotal character..Matlab gungun jaisi hai it's because of her mother's absence, but her entry just didn't hit the right chords in my heart. And I understand Gungun supporting Anu's fam par AnuGun ka equation aisa ha ki somehow I just couldn't digest the nice, sugarcoated words she said for Anu. As if she just wanted to argue with her mom that's why she said so. Kyunki AnuGun mein koyi bhi emotional level ka connection abhi tak nahi hain. Anu bhi Kal tak mujhe logical Banda lagta tha par ab aisa lagta hain ki for some reason he just doesn't want to give the benefit of doubt to Gungun. Matlab Akriti (3rd angle Didi) k liya full sympathy even after she literally slapped Gungun, par Gungun ko samajne ka Zara bhi Koshish hi nahi karna. Just labelling her as Papa ki pari/ spoiled brat, and disregarding all her emotions like that 😔. It's like someone had a good idea, a great script, some really good ckts, but they are not able to hit the mark. Atleast that's the case for me. I want to love this show, but I'm not able to. Maybe I should stop pushing myself from watching it

I also can not connect with KKIs

but my reasons are way different than yours and it could be as I am watching marathi version and that has been executed very well and not at all dramatic such as:

1. The major disconnect I feel is ML's family. It feels fake. If you watch marathi the family there feels as if it is our family and every conversation in any member of the family feels natural and as if it is happening in our own family. on the contrary KKIS mein it feels drama on stage.

2. In the marathi version, when FL takes a stand for ML ( the clip you posted), she does not count any of these. She argues with her mom on factual basis of why her father has selected him. they had kept bua's issue out that time in the conversation. It was very balanced counter argument.

3. when cousin had slapped FL, that time it was handled very differently in Marathi, ML was very nice and has behaved very well with her telling her clearly that she did right and it was her cousins mistake. There was a hug even though it was one sided, but the continuity was maintained very well.

4 My guess is they are not able to execute it properly now it could be because of channel ka presuure for TRP.

5. I watch it to see how compare to Marathi they are doing but they are not doing a good job.

6. KKIS has wrapped up bua's ex issue in one episode where as it was covered in 3-4 episodes in Marathi. FL's mature talk with bua and her explanation was well fit. it was shown how ML was moved and wonders about her behavior and maturity.

6. The biggest lacking in marathi is FL's father. That actor is weak in acting but not character.

7. Her mom in KKIs is very much misfit for the character. it feels she has something in her mouth while talking and she looks very haggard and older to her on screen husband.

Nahi yaar kaafi reasons match karte hain. I think I have heard lot of praises for Marathi one too. Bengali se bhi zyada ppl like Marathi version. Bengali mein ML mujhe good looking nnahi laga.

Kkis mein it sort of feels fake. Actors are not very good. ML is being too hard on FL. FL cannot nail the emotionally-broken spoiled brat character.
