You do realize at this point you actually look like a joke? Your hatred for the actor is evident given how you have been continuously quoting anything negative about the film in the review thread which is typical fan behaviour on IF but atleast don't stoop down to the level of a troll. So whoever has liked the film is supposed to be PR now in this forum 🤪 So stupid and juvenile.

Yep. If 80-90% IF members liked then it's all PR but 10-20% who didn't liked it becomes truth for some here 😂

On topic, I really enjoyed the film given I hate almost every other film SLB has made before. I found him finally concentrating more on the plot than on sets/makeup/costumes of his leads. Yes the film did look episodic and I feel that's where he probably struggled with the writing but other than that I think the film overall has had some beautiful moments which I rather wouldn't expect from someone like SLB. The visual grammar, dialogues and scenes were something completely one would not expect from an SLB film. Those scenes of Gangu trying to write the letter and every other girl filling in one line after another, her phonecall with her mom and the operator cutting in, the sharbat lao sequence with the local MLA, Gangu and Kamli on the deathbed scene, the whole sequence of Gangu admitting the kids in the school...so many beautiful scenes with so much thought in writing and dialogues which I don't even remember SLB doing in his earlier films.

I even liked the repetitive and dull sets because that's what Kamathipura was for the women there, trapped in those lanes forever and it all falls into perspective when Gangu towards the end says she is nervous about meeting the PM in Delhi because she is stepping out of Kamathipura for the first time. I also didn't mind the length since it was such an entertaining film for me. Very rare to see a female lead being positioned in such a mass centric way. The last I remember is Silk from The Dirty Picture.
