Yeah that is another thing. Alia for me still isn't in the same lane as Kangu or Vidya. But I don't either think she is average, she has proven herself to be the best this mainstream actress flow can give, although major reason for that is because others suck so bad, that even average actress like Kriti Sanon are praised, because people have no other valid commerical actress to put against Alia, especially in terms of overall box office success.

Applause is one thing. Someone can have liked her. I didn't. I don't agree with the idea she put in a flawless performance. All the impressive moments were in the trailer. The rest was meh. The movie was meh. I wish I waited for Netflix

But the applause she's getting, by a huge percentage, consists of these superlatives. Hate to say this, but these are the times I feel the people who hate on her have a point. Every other actor's contribution to Bollywood is brought down to her level to make her look good.

But what I meant to say is the way Alia praised to sky is what made laugh and it looks like hate for other actors and less love for Alia 🤓

Alia is loved by college / school kids. an Early 20s peeps.

My cousins/siblings literally shock me about how much they like her. I never understood but she well liked & relatable. I only see hate for her online tbh. Not in the real world.

Agree online is completely different from offline.

For eg., When Gunjan was released on OTT, i heard my few people discussing how good Jhanvi is in the movie and all. That literally shocked me. I didnot even saw the trailer till then 😆 really we never know what audience like, who donot follow online portals ..

All the actors have their limitation...even Rani is bad in comedy but to compare Alia with PC or Kangana is way too early. She is definitely a good actor but nowhere near these actresses...personally I don't know how you guys rate Vidya so high especially over Madhuri and in the leagues of Tabu and Rani. She is good but she appears so similar in all her roles to me. Alia is def crowd fav but she still has to carry a movie like this on her shoulders.....for me GK was more SLB movie than Alia's.

Alia and Varun Dhawan too.😆 My god the craze these two have for school and college kids, I sometimes get shocked but then I realize when we were their age, people would be equally crazy about SRK and Kajol who are as average actors as Alia and Varun overall are and realized be it my generation or the current, the masses don't really care about acting much, just entertainment 😆

Alia is a director's actor. She aces in specific films. Has a long road ahead to become an actor who doesn't need to rely on a director to act but she is on the right path with films like Raazi/Gangu..
