That was such an odd comment by Abhimanyu - she has saved so many lives? It raises so many questions. First, how?? Second, how long was she in Birla hospital anyway that she interacted with so many patients - maybe 2-3 weeks? Third, how many patients does Birla hospital get anyway (who are not Goenkas)?
Considering Abhimanyu will just leave patients on the operating table and run out at the sound of her voice, my guess is Akshara’s “music therapy” has added to the mortality rate of Birla hospital…

To me, it’s the TV equivalent of the drunk guy who sometimes shows up outside our building dressed in a flowered bathrobe and randomly sings and dances. And then he cries and shouts till the cops come and take him away.

@austen-eliot - WOW, that train station kiss between John and Margaret was soooo beautiful! And their train ride together...❤️

I actually liked the ending in the book, which was both funny and sweet, but this is so much better for a screen adaptation. I agree that the mini-series more than lives up to and maybe is even better than the book.

"North and South"... this is THE way to set up an enduring romance between a khadoos no-nonsense practical man and an idealistic, sensitive yet strong-minded woman. Although, you just KNOW that things are going to stay a bit bumpy between Margaret and Saasu-Maa shaadi ke baad😆
