I'm very susceptible to any scenes in which children are sad or cry.
And I cry a lot at sad scenes in books, I'm sentimental that wayđ
Oh. Me too. I told you that I think. I have bawled my eyes out reading books. đ
Mujhe to samjh me nahi aata insaan ko Bhagwan se comparison Karna kyu hai yaar Apni aukaat samjhni chahiye.
Mujhe bhi yahi baat khatakti hai. How can they compare a man to a god and glorify all the shit he does and equate it to godly actions??
God-like indeed! GOD-AWFUL was right! đ¤Ł

Something about the written word just triggers those feels more strongly than watching obvious actors on the screen.
There are a few movies that loosen the waterworks for me and oddly they're mostly non-English language movies so I wonder if that's the reason (the ending of "Bicycle Thieves", the Colors trilogy in French especially Red, and "Mili" which is my father's favorite movie).

At the time, there was a fairly vocal fan following for two characters that were never going to get together on the actual show (like say, Neil and Akshara). So the ffs were all wish fulfillment for a romantic relationship between these two. I'm literally cringing thinking back to this phase of my lifeđ¤Łđ¤Ł
I read somewhere that Fifty Shades of Grey (an abomination that I couldn't get past the first three chapters) and Twilight (which I've never read) both started out as Harry Potter (!) fanfiction. Those women are now rolling in moneyđ¤Ł
Yes that's understandable..
I thought it was Fifty that started out as ff of Twilight.. I haven't read that either.. But my friend got me all the 3 fifty books so I could tell hed what the hype was about coz she couldn't be bothered to.. And majboor I skimmed through those.. That's another that deserves the adjective GOD-AWFUL.. Really the language! My God she sounds like a Anghota-chap!
Apparently Bepannah was offered the chance to move to an online platform and HC refused (apparently he thinks web platforms encourage bold scenes and we all know how shy he is...)

Yes I know their story, saw the recaps.. Anand was very sweet, nothing like jija except his action in proposing to Ishana who he knew was dying to marry him and using that to get Anandi to accept her feelings for him.. And he was doing the rituals and at the same time waiting for Anandi to confess so he can break the wedding.. That was classic JIJA.. It put me offâšď¸
Now it's going to continue on Voot after a 2-3 year leap again.. Somehow I don't have a good feeling about it..it's just going to become another rinse, repeat thing.
If it is just the loyal tv audience of the show, how did the trp climb to 3+ suddenly??
okâŚare you sure itâs going to go onto vootâŚbecause I thought I saw an article Saying it was ending ,,and the actors saying they gave it their best ,.but it didnât work with the audience,.đ¤ˇđťââď¸. Yes Anand was so perfect,.so I donât know why the writers wrote him to propose to Ishaana only to use her to get Anandi to reveal her feelings for him.these writers are so stupid at timesâŚthey mess up characters because they canât think creatively..they could have got anand to meet an accident or something and when anandi realises that she could have lost him..in that emotional moment she acknowledges her feelings and she confesses to him,..there was no need for the other woman to be involved..These itv writers are so irritating with their insistence on bringing in third angles and tainting the male leads character..but I still like Anand a lot..heâs still a much nicer kinder male lead..đ¤ˇđťââď¸Originally posted by: austen-eliot

I swear somewhere there must be a wheel of plot points and all the writers do is spin it, then use whatever trope comes up to write the episode of the week!đ
There's a ton of Hindi content of Netflix and Prime - haven't watched much of it but the little I have seen indicates the production values, plot and acting are all a cut above ITV soaps (no surprise there!). Any thoughts on what's good and worth watching? Anyone seen Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen on Netflix?
