Arjun had a privileged upbringing while Karna had to fight for everything since birth.

I don't really like Arjun at all. There are way more interesting characters in Mahabharta. Like Draupadi, Shikandi, Vidhura and even Bheema apart from Karna.

There is this book written by Shivaji Sawant called "Karna" in Marati. I read its Malayalam translation and I cried so much and fell in love with him. There might be an English translation but it's gonna fall short majorly.

Of the Pandavas I found Yudhisthir the most interesting - someone so morally righteous yet he likes to gamble! Arjun could be a bit of an entitled brat.

Shikandi - I would love to read a novel focused just on her (I know they had a little bit in the Palace of Illusions). So many great characters. I tried to watch the Star Plus version but I just didn't like any of the actors, except maybe Karna.

Eklavya was another great character.

I have a huge three volume English translation that I read through about 5 years ago - it's chockful of amazing side stories.
Someone needs to make a really high production quality version of Mahabharata - a Peter Jackson, no expense spared type😆
